It's bad when you're part of the voice of reason ZRB! :D I can't understand how people can't get it in their head that when you lose 3 important players, and rely on a rookie big man, a 2nd year big man, and an inconsistent big man to get you points in the paint you're going to struggle. I guess it's stupid basketball that our two main frontcourt players are out with an injury and our veteran perimeter scorer was out. And we weren't playing a game against a team that wno 20 games last year, the Pacers made the playoffs last year and it was in Indiana. My god how much does it take to drill into your head that 3 double-digit scorers didn't play in that game?

RM, I'm not saying that we wont win some games with ISOs or Francis/Cat
taking over the game. We'll will. We should win 30+ games like that.

But, if we don't start playing like a TEAM, we'll never be consistant.
I mean, it's NOT like we can depend on DEFENSE. We don't play any.

So, what else can we look forward too? Well, for one. Team play.
If they can do that, then we can put some 5-6 game winning streaks.

But if we only do ISOs and NO-D style play, then we can look forward to a,
    "win 2, lose 2, win 3, lose 1, win 1, lose 2" season.

Man they need to learn how to pass, I think that if Glen Rice comes back strong and is playing like th old Rice that he should be the main offense weapon, I always saw Steve and Cat as defense players, they can lead the way with defense while Rice leads the way with offense ( Hey Rice always had said that he need more minutes and more shots and he will be the same old Rice) so lets give him a chance. Hey what is the worst that can happen.

Give Yao more minutes that is what he is here for not to sit on the bench, but I really wouldent worry to much about him he will do better just needs a little more time. The same with Griffen.

I understand what you're saying DavidS, but what can Francis and Mobley do? The guys had an offnight shooting tonight. I can understand if the Rockets had the majority of their players available, but the players that are missing are our main low post scorers. If Cat and Francis had KT and Mo to pass the ball to in the post, and Rice on the wings it's a completely different story, and the Rockets could survive Ming adjusting to the NBA and Griffin having an offnight. But without those guys this team had no balance and they had to go to the ISO, nothing else was working.

Look at it this way. If the Rockets win 45 games this season, that means they will lose 37. All it means from here on in is that they will only lose another 36 times. Just relax people and enjoy the season. It WILL get better.

After we lay a complete a$$-whooping on Denver, we will be like "Yes the Rockets are back, playoffs all the way".

hmm, i wish we played like we did two years ago when we won 45 games. what was so different then? all i remember is that that year people were telling steve francis to shoot more. that must mean he was passing alot. frankly, i like the old stevie.

I would like to say we were missing Rice, Thomas, and Taylor... I really do.

But somehow, I have this strange feeling that even when they come back, our offense will be just as stagnant as today's offense. hopefully i'm wrong.
