Do people confuse you for an employee at a store you're shopping in?

The majority of the times that I visit Office Depot I get asked if I am an employee there. Especially when I wear blue shirt and black slacks. The other day I went to the other 'depot' Home Depot and was asked by a very lost lady "Excuse me, do you work here?!?". I told her no but I think she may have thought I worked there because I was carrying around a trash bin which I was buying for recycling purposes. I am Hispanic if that makes any sort of difference.

Yeah I haven't come across that yet. Btw, if you know anyone that does landscaping work, let me know.

Someday you will find someone to shear the bushes outside your home into the shapes of penises and balls..someday.

I love ACTING like I work at Best Buy and correcting the employees' statements about technology. :p

AND, yes, I've worn a red shirt and khaki pants in Target. FAIL. :(
I think you're looking for MoBalls...

try not wearing their uniform. if your wearing cheap kakis and a navy polo don't go to Walmart and expect not to be asked where the lube is.

Weird you should post this. I've been asked on three separate incidents if I could help someone at Barnes and Noble in the past few weeks. They all seemed embarrassed when I said I didn't work there. I guess I know my way around the store, but I thought it was strange once, but downright bizarre the third time.

A few times in your basic clothing stores.
But considering they don't really wear uniforms, but just the brands clothing, probably not that rare.

A few months ago I went to Target, not realizing I was wearing a red shirt and khaki pants. I got asked questions by shoppers all over the store . . . when I checked-out, I asked if I could get an employee discount, but they said no :(

I've been asked if I work at the Rockets Teamshop a handful of times. lol. But I actually like that. I know that store pretty well that I'll help people find stuff.

Happened to me once lol. I was wearing a red collared shirt (no idea why, I rarely ever wear red shirts) at a Staples (may have been Office Depot). Somebody asked me a question about some product (or where to find a product, don't remember exactly). Kinda awkward.

    Totally!

I was at the doctor the other day, randomly walking around exam rooms as I always do. In one exam room this older guy sees me and drops his pants. Of course, I do what any normal, caring person would do and check his prostate. Boy, was he embarrassed when the REAL doc showed up! We all had a good chuckle and got some ice cream to celebrate. Good times.
