I LOL'd sufficiently at the Daily Show's take on it last night. Fox is getting absolutely ridiculous with this filth and the fact that people eat it up like fillet mignon makes me very, very cynical about the intelligence of Americans.
I heard he called for Bush II to be killed. If that is true I don't think it's a cool thing to invite him to the White House.
I thought folks already knew not to believe everything one hears on Fox news. Taken out of context not quite like "Tad" Nugent and his concert comments about Obama and Hilary.
do you have any desire to see if what you heard is correct or would you like to continue to ignorantly compare probably one of the least offensive and most socially conscious rappers to someone who says they want obama and hrc to put their mouths on a machine gun?
I didn't compare it to Nugent. Someone else did. So i guess you can ignorantly believe that. I thought the comparison was stupid because Nugent wasn't invited and thus his statements are irrelevant. I read the lyrics and think it's not cool for someone who wrote it to go to the White House. If you disagree WTF do I care? The NJ cops disagree with you.
what about actors who have killed someone in a movie? novelists who have killed people in their novels? should they be banned from the white house as well? do you disagree with the honoring of johnny cash by the white house?
junior lied our country into a war which resulted in the deaths of 100k innocent men, women and children and also authorized torture...he has committed far more acts of violence and murder than common could ever dream of rapping about.
This was addressed in the first of the two Daily Show clips posted above. Short story: the song talks about violence against the President and the police and then says that's not the answer to our problems.
what, like talking about killnig him but then saying that's not the right thing to do and that violence is not the answer? yeah, i'm sure there'd be outrage.
Which part says that would not be the right thing to do? ETA i re-read the thing a few times and it seems like he makes a statement about violence in the community, how that should stop, then he tacked on a political note at the end. I would still say that combined with the NJ police having a problem with his tribute to Assata Shakur makes it not cool.
