i'm ok with the choices given full season contributions. if you're looking at improvement, performance when given bigger minutes, or performance over the final 2-3 months... obviously it's a different story
Derrick Favors was voted to the 2nd team. He sucked for 3/4 of the year, and was above terrible for the final 1/4 of the year. Patterson was significantly better than Favors for at least half of the season.
I can understand Patterson not being on the team because he basically didn't play the first half of the season, but putting Favors and Johnson on the team is a freaking joke. Patterson did far better than Favors who got in purely because of his high position and the fact that he was traded for an elite PG.
come on...its BSPN. Last night, they had a top 10 list of all-time NBA playes. Duncan was #10 and Shaq was 7 or 8. No Hakeem.
BSPN? It's fine if you disagree with the guy who made the cut, but those are the official all Rookie teams, voted by the coaches.
I'm not sure Favors deserves to be on that list over Patterson. There is only one man you should listen to from ESPN:
I couldn't disagree more; Skip knows his stuff. He's been dead on with LeBron the entire time, despite everyone thinking he's just been hating. He calls it like it is, even when it isn't pretty - like Reggie Bush the other day lol.
