Sweet. I'm happy for you guys using or can get Dish Network. I'd never use those clowns again after all my billing problems with them. Hell, I moved just so I could get League Pass and watch the Rockets because Dish Network didn't carry them. :D

Last week the FCC ruled against the meger.

That maybe why you can get LP on Dish Network now. They do not want to loss the customers to Direct TV.

Its 10pm & Time Warner Digital Cable still is not providing the free NBA League Pass. Does anyone want to boycott all AOL/ Time Warner products with me?

Does anyone have an idea about how many of the rocket games will be on league pass? i couldn't find a listing for this year... i went to the rockets official website and their prelim tv schedule indicated about 60-65 games would be on DTV - which i take to mean on direct TV ... hence league pass?? does this sound correct?

    thanks in advance....

I think all the games will be on League Pass except for the ones that are already on national tv.

EDIT : oh, if you're looking for an exact number, I'm not sure.

ron413, what DD said was on the level. I discovered it's WHO you talk to. Keep calling and tell them they carry it and if the person your talking to won't come across then ask for their boss. The 3rd person I talked to said he would check and to hold on... said he would send a signal and bingo. I got it. Apparently a whole slew of their reps are clueless and have been told to shine on a customer if they don't know something. (or else they hire amazingly stupid people... most likely the deal)

Good luck. This industry needs more competition.

Ron: Activate my account Time Warner
Time Warner: Ok, that will be $159.
Ron: Activate my account for that free NBA league pass preview now.
Time Warner:  Free NBA League Pass?

My point is that I have tried to explain to them about this trial offer & they always go back to the Benjamins. I want it free!!!

Well tell them you are seriously considering it, but you need to see the FREE stuff first before you commit to ordering.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't time warner digital offer channel 51? So basically, Dish users need to pay an extra 150 bucks a year, just so we can watch what time warner digital offers at no extra charge (local 51). Sounds like I'm switching to time warner next year.

The FCC didn't reject the merger. They designated the matter for administrative hearing. This means that for 30 days after the FCC files the order (which hasn't happened yet) Dish/DirecTV can amend the merger and resubmit for approval. If it isn't approved within those 30 days, the matter goes to public hearings. Still, during this proccess they can submit amendments. The recent news was bad because in the past, with big mergers (SBC-Ameritech, AOL-Time Warner) the FCC always waited to make any kind of ruling until after the Department of Justice published its findings. This time they didn't. DISH & DirecTV are still working hard to get this done.

Great things would come out of this merger, so let's hope it happens.

P.S.- MLB will most likely be offered for next season too.:)

The purpose of League Pass is to watch out of market games (watching the Rockets in Albuquerque etc.). Fans in Houston have access to KNWS and Fox Sports SW. Rockets games are blacked out in Houston.

The people at Dish Network have their head up their a$$. One guy told me that I could get the Rocket road games on LP no problem. Once I ordered it, I went home to check and see what games were on and the Rockets were blacked out. I called Dish Network up again and they said that I couldn't get any Rocket games if I live the the Houston area. What kind of crap is that? I'm willing to pay $160 and I can't even get my local team? Screw league pass!!
