I am gonna go with Julio, the Falcons gave up the moon and stars to get him, because they think he is the one thing it will take to put them over the top and into the Bowl. And I can just see him dropping crucial playoff first down grabs.
I voted Julio Jones, only because I didn't even think/notice Cam Newton. I hope Newton lives up to all that talent, but he'd be far from the first super-athletic QB to not pan out.
Over the last 20 years, the biggest bust rate at top of the draft is at WR. Of course, on the margins, who exactly qualifies as a bust is subjective, but the failure rate approaches 50%.
I think Cam and Locker are obvious choices since they're QBs going to pretty bad teams. I voted Aldon Smith because I thought he was a huge reach at #7 and I'm not fan of the uber-athletic/raw athletes. I also noticed that Von doesn't have a single vote. I really liked him as a 3-4 OLB but I think there's bust potential in Denver's 4-3. He's a classic tweener so it'll be interesting to see how they try to use him.
i agree. all the analysts are acting like he's a lock to be great. i'm not that convinced that he will be as great as they are projecting.
