    Doc Rivers does.
    Scott Brooks does.

Sam Cassell as a rookie again for the Houston Rockets? I'm down with that.

even if it was a mediocre season he'll be funny to look at and he'd give a damn like jvg would. Rick adelman gives that boring look win or lose.

I'm calling it now, he's head coach with old Juco coach as an assistant (who incidentally just retired last week).

As much as I love our former Rockets, I want a head coach with some head coaching experience, or at the very least some lead assistant experience. Neither Sam or Mario have that kind of experience.

I can't quite articulate why, but I'd prefer Sam Cassell to Mario Elie. I just think he'd make for a better coach. The more I see Sam's name, the more I start to get comfortable with the idea of him as our head coach.

I don't think the Rockets will end up choosing him.. but I hope they make the next head coach put him on the staff. Mario I'm indifferent to.

Are you accusing him of discriminating against extra-terrestrials?

How can you not like Sam. He's just awesome in every imaginable way. My favorite rocket of all time not named Dream or Moses.

Kyle Lowry with a midrange game? I like it.

Did he leave a trail of skittles that we could follow to figure out the answer?

I'm the same way. It's like his play and on-court demeanor almost guaranteed that he'll be a good coach.

Sam wasn't the smartest player on the court. The guy never met a shot he didn't like. Sure he was clutch and had nerves of steel but wasn't efficient imo. He is not coaching material. Mario Elie? Maybe. But definitely not Sam Cassell.

Did Doc Rivers start doing that when he went to BOS after ORL fired him? Or maybe perhaps the stats are being read to him by KG and Ray Allen? That would definitely help.

The only stat of importance regarding Scott Brooks is that POR picked first and passed on Durant.

To be fair to the energizer bunny, Durant's play skyrocketed once Brooks took over. PJ Carlesimo was playing Durant as a SG and his numbers were mediocre; once Brooks took over and made KD a SF, his play drastically improved.

I base that great knowledge on owning Durant in fantasy during the transition. God bless Scotty.
