Happ won't ever be Santana, Price or Lester but if he could develop into a Danny Neagle type then I'd be happy.
I don't see Wallace ever being a 30 HR guy, but the most amazing thing about Wallace, is that we actually traded Anthony Gose to the Blue Jays for him. Gose stats this year at AA: .233/.296/.278 Gose is only 20, so he has plenty of time to improve as a player, but at his best he is likely to be like Michael Bourn.
Honestly, I think he will end up being a 25-30 hr type player. Most years closer to 25 but once in a while getting up to 30. I mentioned during the last series that Baggy hit 15, 18 and 20 hrs before going nuts in 94, kind of see the same with Wallace. The Gose/Bourn comparison is spot on, I know the Jays had a 1st base prospect taking over too but letting Wallace go for Gose may come back to haunt them.
Its nice having speed in all areas of the outfield. Superb defense out there. Even if he isn't Jason stilll brings more to the table than Carlos is right now.
I was watching the Yahoo gamecast and noticed this. It seems like they couldn't find a current picture of Barmes. This is what shows up for his AB picture. Not positive but I'm pretty sure that isn't Clint... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7231
Don't know how far they plan to let him go, but A-Rod is certainly exceeding expectations today. 4 IP and only 1 hit and 1 bb.
I've got to say this "businessman's special" game makes me really happy that I bought the MLB At Bat app for my Blackberry.
Would be nice to see them hold on here...clinching back-to-back series wins against the Breweres and Reds.
Thanks to the rainout, you'll get another one tomorrow. Today was supposed to be a getaway day, but since the reschedule, tomorrow gets to be one.
