Mardid Media has been doing working overtime editing, photoshopping and parade images to defend Pepe "el carnicero" (the Butcher).

If Pepe didn't deserve a red in this game he sure as hell has earned it with what he's been getting away with against Messi in the last 3 games.

Can't wait to finish off you racist fascist Real fans in Camp Nou.

I can understand Real being upset, but come on. Red cards can be given for intent as well and, with cleats up, it's clear what Pepe went in for. Additionally, referees watch footage before every game to learn the tendencies of the players. It's why Ronaldo doesn't get calls all of the time when he dives and why somebody like Pepe has higher scrutiny.

If a player like Xabi Alonso had done this, I'm sure it wouldn't have been carded. But, due to Pepe's reputation as an enforcer, it was.

Hilarious seeing Barcelona supporters defending that call on Pepe

    1. He got the ball first.
    2. He didn't even touch Alves
    3. Alves should win an Oscar for that performance.

I am not a fan of either team but I will say that Barca didn't beat Real Madrid the red card did.

    BS.

First, Mardrid didn't even try to win the game! They were playing for a draw and even with Pepe's bald arse they were keeping 7 back.

Mourinho's plan backfired on his arse and it cost them the game. How about the hand ball from Ramos? How about the garbage fouls from Adebayor?

They played like little B*tches and deserved to lose. They can keep their crushed tin can:

This would probably be better than "instant replay" or any other "technological advance" for these situations. Upon review, officials would sanction a player. Good idea, sir.

Madrid played the way a ton of teams other than Barca(or Man.Utd when facing Schalke) play in the 1st leg of a CL tie. Mourinho's plan didn't backfire and cost them the match, the red card cost them the match.
I'm sure Mourinho knows his team are as talented as Barca but in terms of teamwork and team playing style, it's no contest as to the better team. Mourinho played Borinho ball and unfortunately with the 2-0 deficit, next week he'll go all out and Barca may unleash another 5-0 demolition. (I hope I'm wrong)

I don't care if Alves flopped. That idiot should have been suspended for the rest of the season. It's the right thing to do. This is simply inexcusable, in any sport.

I understand that Pepe deserved the red for the extracurricular stuff he did, but I would be pretty pissed too if Alves took a dive like that on a little nudge from me as well. If anything, Alves just looks like a puss after all that. I'm not a fan of either team, but Alves rolling around like a b!tch made me lol.

    A couple of things...

First, FX is a channel is part of Fox.. so no I didn't mean Fox Soccer Channel (FSC)... Proof? Here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FX_(TV_channel)

Second, I told ya it was on that channel because I was excited the game would be televised on FX... I know lots of people don't have FSC but they have FX because you get it with basic cable (which is channel 31). Also, I can assure you the majority of people that read my post didn't know it was televised on FX.

Lastly, do you know that this video is from punto de pelota? A well known sports programs from Madrid heavily biased towards Real Madrid... It is also known in spain that they altered this video. In fact, Barca may take action against them. Did you know that? Honestly, I think Alves didn't get hit as bad as he was claiming he did ( rolling on the ground and holding his leg) but the reason for that is he saw Pepe coming so he pulled his leg back. That you can see from the video.

Lastly, you can probably watch the Man U game tmrw on FX here...

Aves did not get hit but ...

Pepe tried to intentionally cleat Aves.

Aves could have taken one for the team and not avoided the intentional cleat. There would have been less controversy, but Aves could have been seriously hurt.

The referee made the right call. Intentionally trying to hurt another player has no place in the sport.

    Mourinho fan here.

Pepe didn't touch Alves, and he got the ball first. Alves is known for his acting too.

That aside, I don't like the way Real ended the game fouling every Barca player, mainly Messi. That definitely deserves a review from UEFA. Was clearly a team effort to hurt some players before the final IMO.
