I put Celts in 7. The Celts have had Miami's number all season long, but the playoffs are where losses matter the most. I think Miami will come out looking like they have something to prove.
This'll be the most talked about second round series this postseason. Thunder - Nuggets was supposed to be the one to watch in the first round, but that turned out to be Grizz - Spurs instead.
if Jeff Green can't make any contribution defensively its over. Heat win this in 6...only so much Allen and Pierce who are in their mid 30s can do
If it's really this simple, then the series is over. Jeff Green has never been a good defender in his career. I don't know why anyone thinks otherwise. He got torched by PFs, SFs and SGs at OKC and can't defend to save his life.
Depending on what the salary cap looks like going forward, then yes, you're absolutely right. The Heat have the best core of any team in the league and they're still young. If they are allowed under the new CBA to continue adding complementary pieces, they will only become more dangerous.
All indications are that after the next cba, teams will have less, not more salary flexibility. They may even have to scrap some of the pieces they already have.
No but he did leave a very competent team and formidable teammate in Penny. Just to go to the big name team and paved the way for things like "the Decision"
It's hilarious that Rocket fans want players like LeBron to show teams loyalty or give them a heads up when our own GM treats players like poker chips, and most of us are fine with it. There is no loyalty in sports, so please stop bashing a guy who chose to leave as a free agent. Bash him for having a TV special, but not for exercising his free agent rights.
What Miami needs to prove is that they're more than a 3 man experiment w/ a snotnosed coach. They're playing a TEAM now. That's gotta make Spo more nervous than the realization that it's not only a team, but the Celtics.
Shaq may have went there for extra curricular reasons, but he also unwittingly learned how to win a title there. He wasn't going to learn that under Brian Hill in Orlando. I hate the Heat, but if they win titles, it was a shrewd move, I cannot tell a lie. I said many times when Bron was w/ Clev that he wasn't going to win a title in that market, w/ that FO, w/ those limited resources. He'd have to go to a team that has at least SOME winning pedigree if nothing else.
I'm going for Boston for three reasons: 1.) They play as a team and fight for each other. There is not a lot of ego that dominates the other on that team. Their chemistry is just great. 2.) I want the Heat to lose this season. I don't mind if they win next couple and create a dynasty, but I want I do not want them to win. 3.) Most important. KG also advanced past the first round just once in his career before joining the celtics. what's your point?
