Does anyone have a link to that ESPN tribute that Wilbon did for the 22 game win streak? It was well done and I can't seem to find it anywhere.
It's sad that this thread is even necessary, but unfortunately it probably is for some people. The fact is, when teams go all in and build around a player or two, when that era is over things are rough for a bit. Imagine how dreadful the Lakers would be next year if Kobe suffered a career-ending injury in these playoffs. With no draft picks, awful trade chips and a bunch of middling role players, they would beboucky to squeek into the playoffs next year.
No joke. 400 for a pair. We lost by 20 something and the game was never close. I was so jacked before the game that night too, we got the tix last minute. The night just got uglier after the game.
What's the point of this thread? If it was made by someone who wasn't a contributing member, had a low post count, and had no reputation, then wouldn't it have been locked by now???

That was a rough one. I was there too. We were doomed from the jump. Rondo was in Rafer's head before the tip. I think he was t'ed up in less than a minute.
So many debbie downers, maybe we should talk about Kevin's lack of clutchness, Hayes' lack of height, Bud's lack of aggressiveness, Yao's lack of health, Thabeet's lack of basketball skills, Kyle's lack of height, Scola's lack of athleticism and D or Rockets' lack of coach? Lighten up!
yeah, I know. I was thinking about waiting to change it until we got a new coach or changing it to #SignChrisFinch. Kind of wanted to keep it up for a bit because I'm still bitter about it Yes, I have had a pretty good & a great life, but as a big time Rockets apparel collector, my collection will never be complete (nor will my life) until I get one of those shirts I think season ticket holders got 22 win streak blankets. I saw someone trying to sell one on eBay for $500. Completely out of my price range, but I had to save a picture of it. btw, if anyone has that blanket or a t-shirt they'd be will to sell or donate to me, PM me please.
as much as I understand people dogging on this because it wasn't playoffs or a championship, or a 1st round victory vs Jazz, etc... one reason it sticks out to me is not just because it was 22 in a row, but that it catapulted us from #10 to #1 - and in the game to become #1 we beat the #1 seeded Lakers. Sure, we lost Boston and fell back to down to earth, but we lost Yao for the season less than halfway through this streak... and during it our team (especially Tmac and Deke) were AMAZING. I still remember the game-winner against Sacramento, omg. Its a great memory, and not even the great teams of the last few years can put together such a streak. It is history, and a championship happens every year for someone, but this type of streak hasnt happened in what... 30+ years? Stop being downers and just enjoy that Houston made history in a really tough, injury-riddled era for the team. Its a lone bright spot, no use throwing storm-clouds over an already flooded area. lol, EVERYONE KNOWS it was a failed time for Houston... thats WHY this is a huge deal. You are not telling anyone things they dont already know brainiacs. This is one of my favorite Houston Rockets moments of all-time, and although it cant beat out 93-95, its pretty badass.
These are probably the same people who say we didn't deserve the two championships since we didn't face Jordan for the Finals.
