Wow, looks like the Battle of Hogwarts is REALLY drawn out, since when did Harry pull Voldemort down together into this pit of doom in the school?

each movie is really drawn out...each one is about 3 hours but after you watch it you figure out that about 1 hour of it was just filler. you watch for 3 hours then the battle scene at the end of the movie is about 5 minutes. (not the first 2 movies but recently they have been)

Have been waiting for this for yearsss. Can't wait to finally see it.

I, too, haven't read the books, because they're just too thick for me to take the time to read them. I know it won't happen, but I've been rooting for Harry to die. He's such a spaz.

When Harry Potter dies it's just a complete bummer -- no way i'm watching that at a movie theater.

Harry Potter is for preteen boys and girls. This movie series been the same **** over and over again and what kind of sissy who carries a wand? The midget Daniel Radcliffe should learn how to act.

Wow you couldn't be more wrong. Maybe the first two films sure. But beginning when Alfonso Cuaron took over the reigns as director in Azkaban, the series incorporated much darker elements.

I saw one of the trailers in front of Super 8 this weekend, and dammit if it didn't choke me up a little bit...seeing it on the big screen and knowing what's to come.

    One thing I don't like:

The part where Harry pulls Voldy off a castle rampart as he jumps off. It's all heroic looking but doesnt make any sense.

    and it seems corny.

If they had to spllit in to two books at least make it accurate.

Which is why I don't understand A) that they didn't include the part where he says goodbye to the Dursleys and how his parents had protected their house from Voldemort all those years; Dudley's final words to Harry were quite moving and B) why the reason behind the Death Eaters recognizing Harry changed; that was a critical moment; it wasn't just Hedwig it was the fact that Harry always uses a disarming/stun charm on enemies trying to kill him

At the same time they included the whole Weasley home attack scene in Half Blood that I thought worked quite well to change the pace in the movie. So I'm not too worried about that. Maybe it's just a way to extend the final battle, which is ok by me.

Couldn't agree more. I read them all, because when I read the first 3 with my son, I had to continue the series. It pulls you in ("it's like magic!").

Deathly Hallows was the best book by far. The scene in Godric's Hollow in the part 1 was exactly as I pictured it in the book.

Who's planning a marathon before part 2? If I have the time, I will.

Really stoked to see this, but there's just a few too many Voldemort NNNYYEEEEEAAAAAAHHH's in these trailers.

Edit: Not to mention I spotted two spoilers in the two official trailers I've seen.

Death of Fred Weasley in the first trailer and of Remus Lupin in the second. Though I suppose most people wouldn't notice that anyway.
