Why not take the risk? This draft looks terrible this year because of the labor issues. Sullinger, Barnes, Perry from Baylor all are waiting until next year and more may follow them. We have two first rounders so roll the dice. Kid looks very very quick and has seems to have good hands.

Package T-Will with #23 to get higher in the draft

Don't worry, the closer the draft comes the higher he will move and probably get drafted in the mid teens. Better hope not before us.

Can't teach height. GM's were downright silly for letting Andrew Bynum slip to 10.

If DM can't move into the top 5 or so with a package including 14 and 23, I feel like we should try to move up from 23 in range to land this kid. This is a low risk-high reward type deal. Unlike dealing Lowry for Rubio.

    I wouldn't say that.

For every Andrew Bynum there's a Patrick O'Bryant.

All I needed to see was the Mcdonald's All-American game to know that Bynum was legit.

Bynum going 10th was almost stupid as AD going 7th. Maybe it was the knee issues..

Ok so the video showed he can defend around the basket, rebound, and he has hops.. good things for a 7 footer to posses.
My question is , can he hit the 15 footer consistantly, can he play with his back against the basket, can he handle a double team and find the open man, is he strong enough to play against the bigger men in the league, is he going to go all out on every play, like scola ?
Kid is young and has lots of time to grow, but I dont think morey is looking to waste time, he isn't getting drafted by the Rox, especially after they just traded Batman for Hasheem.
We need a solid 3 man, or back up pg.. the pg from uconn looks like a good fit(Kemba Walker)

And then there are Roy Hibberts who look like Patrick O'Bryants, but bloom late. I say, you can never fault GMs for betting on size.

All i'm sayin is, the kid is just 18 years old. He has already put on 20 lbs. in less than a year, which shows he can be motivated to do better. As far as shooting goes, that can be worked on.

I also believe in betting on size but it does have it's risks. Look at Thabeet!

At 14 were we are It's not a gamble but moving up to 10 to get Nogueira would be a bad move IMO.

I don't mean for this to come out racist but... It's like that Brazilian movie "City of God" This guy reminds me of Lil Ze', only this time a 7ft version. The resemblance is uncanny.

Extremely interested in him. The Rockets first order of business after signing a new coach is addressing who will be the next center!!!

Our bigs are what they are. You take Brad doing the best he can with the advice. Jordan Hill trying to figure out how to beat Hasheem Thabeet at Tic Tack Toe on the sidelines, with the only serious bigs being Too short Hayes which leaves us with the promise of a mere 6'9" Patterson. No doubt this off season we will see the departure of Scola. It leaves us with this guy and that's a maybe and whatever else that Scola can net us...

The kid is already putting in work by gaining weight. Maybe he just needs to be around more motivated individuals like Hayes and Patterson to jumpstart his growth. Besides, he is not even fully grown at just 18 years of age. Just think of how he could be at his fullest potential.

I can see this kid about as tall as Hasheem but if you look at Hasheem his like 260 something and still looks like he barely escaped a famine ridden country. I dunno...

I would be extremely disappointed if we miss out on Biymobo or Nogueira. We need at least one of them, if not both.

Screw Thabeet, utter waste of time. Biymobo and Nogueira are already better at 18 than Thabeet will ever be.
