Did you guys see Ish getting some burn in garbage time? He looked great, one assist I think, two nice floaters.

Happy for Memphis but I cant help feeling annoyed that another young team has leap-frogged Houston, again.

I thought it was over with the year, they lost to the Lakers, ever since then, they've looked very tired and beatable in the playoffs.

Their kryptonite tends to be either fast paced teams or youthful squads, the legs (and talent) aren't there anymore to beat those type of teams.

Memphis is better without Rudy Gay. Their size up front is their advantage. I never thought that this would happen but Zach Randolph is leading a team to win in the playoffs.

exactly why i wanted the rockets to face the spurs....at this rate the grizz winning in 5 won't be surprising at all.

They tanked games to play the Spurs. Don't blame them one bit. Unlike dumbass JVG, who didn't want tank to play the Kings instead we played the Mavs.

He is one player they should've let go in the offseason, he's got decent talent, but he is not a great team player and is questionable as a player who can help lead your team to another level. Some guards and wing players just don't get it, you win when you utilize the biggies vs. taking 12 - 20 erratic jump shots a game.

It's also great to watch someone like Zach Randolph who has turned his career around and erased the public/media perception of him, being a talented malcontent superstar who will never be on a winning (championship)team, sort of like Stephon Marbury; Allen Iverson (later in his career, in Denver and Detroit); or Isiah Rider.

Well maybe this will be a turning point in his career. They have something special and he just needs to put 18-22 ppg. I will give him the benefit of doubt. I am sure he will be a great asset for the Grizzlies when he gets healthy.

I know people don't watch but for some perspective, I have not heard or read a single Grizz fan thinking we are better without Gay. This surge started before he got hurt. Adding Battier just makes it seem like we don't miss Gay. Gay is bigger than Arthur and allowed us to go small (Gay at PF, Arthur at C) to really scramble on defense. Can't imagine how insane we would be playing Allen, Battier and Gay with Conley and one of our bigs.

I spent the whole of last night thinking about "damnnn!! what if!!!" that we had traded the 8th pick of the 2006 draft for Zach Randolph from the Portland Trail Blazers. Dayyyymmm...I was in such a fantasical(err..is dat even a word?) that we had easily traded Rudy Gay and Swift for Zach Randolph and we have fu@$@king owned the Jazz with this lineup

    Rafer Alston
    Tracy McGrady
    James Posey
    Zach Randolph
    Yao Ming

    in 2007

dayyyummm...and Zach was only at a $10 million dollar salary back then, too. The Blazers drafted Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge and was looking to dump the "bad boy" Randolph for a lamb kebab and they'd even give you a bonus on top of that. He scored 17 ppg in 2005-2006 and put up 24 ppg the next year in 2006-2007 and was dumped for Steve Francis' 30 million dollar contract which was then obviously..bought out.

    uhh.............................................*sigh....................*

I didn't expect this. I thought the Spurs were going to the WCF. Instead they're going out in the first round! ;)

One of many teams that have built and rebuilt since the Rockets championship years. I think most of us fans are really in denial about how bad our beloved franchise has been floundering. The Stevie Franchise and Yao/Tmac eras have consumed tons of time and resources with nothing to show for it. Rockets fans have been conditioned to small rewards. Les may not be as stupid as we think.
