They back down from Rondo on the pick and roll leaving him open and they still leave KG wide open.

Seriously what type of defense is that?

It really is sad to watch. Even with Chauncey they would not have advanced with them playing defense like this.

d'antoni has GOT to go. get adelman, and shore up the bench and they will win a round next year.

defense is their problem. getting nash would make their D exponentially worse.

I think D'Antoni will get another season with this team, but if he goes, I expect SVG to take over. Them New Yorkers love their van Gundys.

They need a defender in the paint. Neither Turiaf or Stoudemire fit the bill.
They need a coach that will actually play the center instead of small ball. Small ball doesn't work in the playoffs.

Even when D'Antoni had a Mozgov, the guy was hardly used until near the tradeline. I think he was just showcasing him for a trade.

They need a star that is healthy in the playoffs . Stoudemire's back injury really hurt the Knicks. That's what they get, when they sign an injury prone player to a max contract. It's funny how their record is nearly the same as the Rockets, another team with an injury prone star on a max contract.

If he can get along with the owner, I think JVG would be the perfect fit there. If he can't get Amare & Melo to play defense, noone can.
