Look the man did what he could... This team was alot better w/out carmelo, giving up their future center in moszgov and aall out competative pg in felton was a stupid move and danny walsh knew it that is why he did not want the trade to go down ny owner did. Good bye d'antoni hello jeff van gundy
Hoping it is Rick. NY under him would be exciting to watch. Good shot at a ship if Walsh adds talent around that core.
TO tell you the truth at this point the trade seems to be a bust. Amare and Anthony weren't playing together, just indepently to their selves to try to will the team to victory by themselves. The Knicks made the playoffs simply because they were in the east. IF the Rockets were in the east we would've had homecourt advantage in the first round. We, the hornets, and grizzles, are MUCH better than the sixers, pacers, and on par with the Knicks, Hawks, and Magic. Case in Point you have the Spurs, Lakers, and Mavericks having the fight of their lives in the first round this season while the Celtics, Heat, and Bulls having first round byes. The west is still a MUCH better conference than the east. The Rockets would've beaten the Celtics at least once in a seven game series.
happy? who's happy? I am just sick and tired of the amount of HATERS on this forum. I'm fine with hating on teams/people that deserve it, such as KG, LeBron, Kobe etc. but Amare hasn't done anything other than win ROY over Yao (pissing rockets fans off) and take his talents to NYC. This thread just reaps of hating or jealousy. Way to overreact to a press conference after the game.
I can see the Knicks throwing crazy money at Adelman. I doubt he'll accept though, not going to win any championships with that squad anytime soon.
Really? The Knicks? They have crappy management, very little room to add decent players, and besides Amare and Carmelo, no one that's worth a damn. I'd take the Rockets over the Knicks all day.
lol gotta love clutchfans. Care too much and you get made fun of (tmac crying post utah series) or care too little and you get lynched.
Knicks really could have used Anthony Randolph and Wilson Chandler and even Raymond Felton in these games. Im dead serious. You seen Anthony Randolph play after the trade to Minny? he had been beasting lately, and all they had to do was give him minutes. If Mike would have knew how to use his rotation guys off the bench, then the Knicks would have did a little better against the Celtics. Instead Mike wants to run Suns style offense without players capable enough to get the offense going fast. Billups is starting to play like his age now.
NY will never get anywhere, simply because like us they went all in on the wrong foundation: Amare played like a superstar all season but is injury prone (where have I heard that before?), while Melo has superstar talent but has no heart, and apparently no bball iq either. Right now, I'm looking at NY and its exactly what he had in Houston before, when we had Tmac and Yao and garbage on the roster. It'll be interesting how NY manages to surround their dynamic duo with stars, and to benchmark Walsh's performance with the Rockets FO.
We could have put up a better fight than the Knicks. The Knicks are pretty much the polar opposite of what we are. It's actually pretty funny.
NY makes dumb management decisions...Signing people to long term deals...They consistly give fat contracts to "overachievers" or as I call them, people who just needed minutes on crappy teams!!.....But I can admire the way they just refuse to accept that they suck!!!.....Ask a Knicks fan about their team and "they're always one step away!!!"

carmelo sounded the same way after the game they were talking like they did something great by getting into the playoffs then getting swept
I don't even get why everyone is bashing the Knicks well the 2 stars. They lost their starting PG when they were winning in Game 1. Amare had back problems. The supporting cast left were not good. If you told me before the series that Chauncey would get hurt in Game 1 and would not return. Then if you told me Amare would hurt his back in Game 2 I would say the chances of NY winning a game is slim.
