Alright, Rocket Fans, here we go, the start of a new season. I've enjoyed the preseason yet I'm ready for the real games. I'm excited about the team. I'll always be a Rockets fans, win or lose, but what are everyone's predictions on Wednesday's game?

PS- Good to hear Rice is going to be ok! He'll be a good impact this year I'm sensing.

    My pick:

    Houston Rockets: 100
    Indiana Pacers 97

Im not going to get into making a prediction ..i will say that im concerned that Griff, Bostjan and Hawkins are the only three forwards well have for the game ......Rudy im sure will rotate Cato at the 4 behind Griff

The Pacers will be without Reggie, O'Neal, and Croshere. This should be an easy win Codell.

Oh what the heck...um...86-81 Houston. I usually don't do well on these, but I gave it a try. We are without some guys and Yao, Boki, and others may not still be completely used to the offense. I kind of expect a low scoring game. SF leads Houston with 20pts, 7ast, Mobley has 17pts, Yao has 13pts, 6rbs, and 2blks, and Griff has 11pts 9rbs and 4blks. There, those are my predicitons.

O'Neil is playing. Or at least I thought he was. I know that Howard got suspended but they said nothing about O'Neil.

Also, we will be without Rice (?), Thomas, Taylor, and Morris.

I think we will win. But I dont agree that it should be easy. However, 86-83 Rockets. Homer call. :D

I guess we'll have a starting lineup of Griffin, Cato, Nachbar, Francis and Mobley, with Ming coming off the bench very soon. I think the Pacers have a slight advantage as far as the bench goes.

If you want to bet money, bet on the home team on opening night. The home team wins about 70% of the time on opening night regardless of the matchup.

Okay so my pick is the Rocks by 2

Rockets should win the opener. Our star players (Francis and Mobley) are playing, while the Pacer's are out. If we don't win, I'll be disappointed. Rockets 92 Pacers 84. Go Rocks!!!

    86-82 Rockets

Reggie Miller goes 10-10 from FT
    Francis goes for 24-6-6
    Yao Ming get 13-6-3
    Griffin gets 8-4-1

This game is tied going into the fourth, and after a bitterly contested quarter, Cuttino breaks the game open with a long three and then an iso 2 going to the hoop. Francis adds two free throws to seal the deal.

I know he has range, but he'd be the first to hit 10 free throws from the bench (or the stands). He is on the injured list...
