www.thesportsroadtrip.com Two sports fans from Buffalo on a mission... To boldly go where no sports fan has ever gone before... Their mission, to attend a home game of every franchise in the four major sports leagues(NBA-NHL-MFL-MLB). Insane, isn't it! Insane....yes! Impossible..NO!! As a matter of fact, as of now we have attended a home game of 116 said teams. Almost there In roughly three weeks, The Ultimate Sports Road Trip heads for the Lone Star State and the City of Houston for stops 118 and 119 as we take in the Jags/Texans game on 11/17 followed by a stop at the Compaq Center on the 19th for a Cavs/Rockets game. We can't wait!!! This is the real thing, Rockets fans....see for yourself by logging on to our site at www.thesportsroadtrip.com and check it out thanx, pjf aak The Ultimate Sports Road Trip
If I had that kind of $$$, I'd do it in a heartbeat. That sounds like one helluva good time! I'd just like to see a professional sports game outside of Houston for once in my life!
Hope you guys enjoy Reliant. Here is what they thought of Minute Maid: http://www.thesportsroadtrip.com/houstonastros.html I would be willing to bet they will like Reliant even more. Too bad they will be seeing the Laptop and not the new arena though. CK
Man, I'd love to do that! Right now, I just have a goal of seeing all the Major League Ballparks, but I'm having to spread it out. Of the baseball fields I've seen so far, I rank them: 1. PNC Park 2. Minute Maid Park 3. Camden Yards 4. Arlington Stadium 5. Shea Stadium
The Ultimate Sports Road Trip Yea, we thought Minute Maid was cool....the 'Stros were awesome to us...even got to meet Mr. McLane himself! I forgot to ask for a little asisstance, we're gonna be in town for about 3 days or so and regrettably don't know much about Greater Houston as far as stuff to do and what not. We're doing the Texans on Sunday and the Rockets on Tuesday and we're penciling in Monday for sightseeing and the like(regrettably we didn't get to do much of this on our last visit here). Anybody got any ideas feel free to pass em on to us at our site!! BTW....Our goal is to see a home game of each team in their current home venue....so we will be returning to see the Rockets again during the 2003-4 season in their new digs.... PJF
I'm sure you've already seen this page...but it's where I've always gotten a lot of good places to go. http://houston.citysearch.com/?brand=sidewalk
thanx....btw, looking very forward to Reliant. Went by there during our 'Stros visit in April 2001 and even just looking at the shell of the place we knew it was going to be awesome!! Can't wait!!
Depending on what kinds of things you guys like to do, the San Jacinto monument and battleship of Texas are just outside of Houston. They are some rather historical sites to see. You could always travel around the city and tour the construction, however I think that would take you more than a few days The Rocket PR VP often checks this site out and I posted this thread link in the main forum. Hopefully he will see it and maybe he can hook you guys up. CK
I remember when you guys came to vancouver. It was in the paper i think...not sure. Anyways...you guys said the only way up and down were staircases...but there are elevators too! oh well, just so you know. I wish i did one of those big ass road trips. It would be a hellagood time.
Vancouver....man did we love that city. I'm searching for any excuse possible to get back there. Didn't notice the elevators....just noticed how difficult a time people were having making their way outta there from the lower level, man that was brutal. Kinda disappointing to see in a newer venue. Saw my beloved Knicks that evening there, and as usual they were absolutely pummeled! We've seen 'em 7 times and they've lost each time.....and that's b-for they began to stink!!
