    I would hate to see Elie come here and become a sacrifical head coach who holds the fort while we tank/suck or rebuild then gets fired.

    I'm a big Elie fan, but I just don't know if he's a better head coaching candiate then some of the others.

    I hope they would keep him in mind as a assistant coach. Since the coach Morey will be hiring will probably be a newbie, I'm guessing the Rockets will have the most input on who they choice to be the assistant coaches.

    He should be among the top in our short list for coaches.

    Elie is tough as nails and skilled on both ends of the court. He has been a vital part of the two championships of the Rockets. With him on board as either HC or assistant, that would mean media attention again on us, esp. Kenny Smith.

    Elie coached SAC when KM was traded from there. Anybody know how their relationship was like. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that Elie did not like KM for his lack of defense. Wonder how the dynamic would be if Elie comes here.
