Sportsradio 610 is reporting Tierre Brown was let go today, trimming the roster to 15.

Tito Maddox contract is partially guaranteed. That might have something to do with it.

Although I think Tierre is better, I think the team sees potential in Tito. I've read he has made some good plays. Yeah, he sucks right now, and he may continue to suck, but I think he probably has a better chance to be good than Tierre. In the worst case scenario, he can play the 2.

Maddox is a better Point Guard and Brown was better at putting it in the basket! Maddox drives towards the basket, draws attention, then dishes out to the open shooter.QED

It really doesn't matter since none of them will get any playing time. I guess the staff thinks Tito has more upside for the future.

Wow. Who saw this coming? Oh, wait. I remember. Doc Rocket. Anyone remember? He said the Rockets were unlikely to keep Tierre, Oscar or Tito, though he also said that could change. From camp and preseason, you'd think Tito would've been the first of the three to go. As it stands he looks to spend the year on IR barring real injuries. One more reason to listen and listen good when the good Doctor talks.

Everyone is acting all suprised at this. I knew Tierre was going to get cut after the last two preseason games. Every time I saw him, he was getting trapped in the backcourt.

So who is going to backup Francis? Moochie? what a joke.

Man, how did Sacramento get so lucky to get Bobby Jackson as a backup, while we end up with Moochie Norris. So I guess the Rockets think Tito has more to offer then Tierre?

I think Maddox's size and upside were the reason we kept him. Tierre was listed at what, 6'2"? He really only looked about Moochie's height. With Tito, we get a guy who is a little quicker, bigger, and a better defender. We have enough scorers, we need guys who can stop people!

Moochie's been doing real well, from what I heard. He's been actually pushing the ball and been relying on quickness and stuff.

Remember he was like 220-235lbs last year and couldn't really on his quickness.

I think that it was dumb to keep Tito, but even dumber to let Oscar go. I am pissed.

I don't really have any problem with this move if Steve and Moochie stay healthy, but Tierre's a hell of a lot better insurance policy than Tito. Tito looks like he needs a year or two to be a safe backup. Tierre's already a safe placeholder. If Steve or Mooch goes down, is anybody going to be happy with Maddox as our only backup option?

Because it is better than turnover first, shoot second?
