I had several reocurring weird dreams when I was elementary school aged or younger that I haven't had in a long time, but strangely still remember. Now I don't remember most of my dreams after I wake up.

One of them was getting lost riding my bike and not being able to find my way back home. I was always on a street that crossed the street my house was on, but I could never find my street. I knew exactly where it should have been in my dream, but it was never there.

Another dream I had a couple of times was that I was fighting off Santa Anna's forces in the Alamo, and that I managed to kill off all of them but three or four . As soon as the last one of my comrades would die, one of the Mexicans would kill me with a ninja star. I always thought that was odd.

And when I was really little, for some reason I used to be really scared of car washes. I used to dream that a couple of car wash machines would take over my house and separate me from my family and wouldn't let me leave my room. Odd, and now really funny.

It's weird how, more often than not, you can trace your dreams back to recent occurrences that triggered it. For instance, my dream last night. It is not my weirdest dream, but it is the strangest I have had a long time.

I started out just talking to these prostitutes that wanted me to save them from their pimp. I don't remember how we got in the situation where they assumed I could help them, but that is as best as I can remember. Then, out of nowhere this one dude jumps in my truck (I don't drive a truck in real life...in fact I hate them) and takes off in it. I chase after on foot and manage to jump and grab the side of the bed and hang on hollywood-style with my feet dragging on the ground. I slowly pull myself sideways to the passenger door side. At this point, I am holding on to something on the bottom of the car, kind of underneath it. I open the side door, and the driver sticks his arm out and shoots a handgun at me. He fires until he runs out of bullets, and I just move around and dodge all his shots (he can't aim well since he is trying to drive at the same time). When he fires his last shot, I grab his arm and pull him out of the car. I then climb in, turn around and go back to the prostitutes. They end up thanking me, which I guess means that the guy that tried to steal my car was their pimp or something. They never explained why they were happy.

It all seemed very strange until I thought about was involved. Prostitutes, a pimp and a big truck that someone steals and who I bravely fight and probably kill. Two nights ago I watched this documentary on Starrz called "American Pimp." It discusses pimps and prostitutes and interviews several real life pimps. Some of it was very interesting. That could explain the pimps and prostitutes. I have also been playing a LOT of Grand Theft Auto 3 recently, so that could explain the crazy hollywood-style car theft and chase, etc. It's as if my weird brain just picked a couple things in the memory from recent events and molded them into a strange dream.

I have the weirdest dream of all of you! See if you can make sense of this...

I had this dream when I was between 10-13 or so. Me and my family (I think) are camping in a department store (we have a big fire and everything), like Macy's or something. There's this red head kid there that I don't know. Anyway, me and this other kid go to look at stuff in the store, and we start to look at movies. Well, he holds up a movie, and it's in one of those plastic cases that Disney packages their movies in, you know? Anyway, I see the same movie, but instead, it's in one of those cardboard cases, the normal ones. I hold that one up and say we should get it instead. He gets really mad at me, then pulls out an automatic weapon and begins to chase me. In the end, he shot me, and I died.

    Weird enough for you?

Also, I have had that falling dream a lot. Has this happened to you guys? You haven't really had a dream, but you wake up, and felt like you've just fallen onto your bed or something?

    Hmm...

It's a tossup between shopping for a bicycle with Hakeem and being in bed with Hillary Clinton.

I had a long and continous dream where I first went to a friends party. The details became inconsequential because when the party was over I decided to "sleep" on my friend's couch. I closed my eyes and darkness surrounded me.

I began to hear some monotonous droning. As the droning became louder, my legs began to feel numb... as if they were becoming asleep. Soon, I began to understand what the droning was. They were bible verses you'd hear from a priest if as you're dying or on death row. I opened my eyes and there was a dark figure standing above me doing the chanting. I couldn't focus because my eyes saw sparks. I wanted to run. I tried to run, but I couldn't move. My legs were numb and the paralysis was spreading up my body. I tried to call for help, but it was as if mind and body were seperated. I couldn't breathe.

I began to focus my screams for help and all I could pull off was a little gasp. In my mind, I knew I could be saved if I could scream and alert my friends, but all there was was a gasp and a whimper. The presence was looking darker and darker and the numbness had almost consumed my whole body. The last thought I had was wondering if I was going to die and were I was going to be.

Then I woke up. My legs were asleep. The blanket had cut off the circulation to my legs. And I could breathe again.

I dreamed I was in a situation like Resident Evil. Everybody around me had been turned into zombies and I was running for my life. It freaked me out.

Just last night I dreamed that I was playing stickball at the airport. One of the players threw the ball into the parking garage and broke the window on a Jeep Cheroke. I went over to check it out and there was a couple sitting in the car doing nothing. Then a couple security guards come over and everyone else runs away. I start to explain what happened but they stab me in the leg with a tranq dart. Then they start unbckling their belts likke they are gonna rape me or something so I take off running with my one numb leg dragging behind me. I run into the terminal and grab the shoulder radio of this National guardsman and call for backup. Then my attackers make it into the terminal and the guardsman pulls his weapon on them. Then I went over and cold-cocked one of the guys and kicked another one square in the junk. Then I woke up. That one was pretty wierd.

When I was little I had a recurring dream that R2-D2 was eating me, I never could figure that one out.

I had the COOLEST dream ever last night.

Okay, somehow, I was that lovebot dude from A.I. and was chilling with David and Teddy in the ruins of the Chrysler Building. Bizzarre premise for a dream, certainly, and even more strange since I haven't seen that movie for like three months.

So anyway, we're just hanging out and he's b****ing about finding his mommy when out of nowhere, a bunch of mini-helicopters with guns burst through the wall and start chasing us. The next thirty minutes of the dream is like a Mario Bros. game, as we jump from platform to platform running away from the machines. Weird, but probably the funnest dream I've ever had. I don't remember how it ended though... :(

I didn't eat anything before I fell asleep and am not on drugs. Crazy.

Last week I had a horrible nightmare. I answered the phone to find out that my wife had died of a heart attack. The next thing I knew I was sobbing uncontrollably as my Mom and my sister tried to comfort me.

Then I woke up. My wife was not next to me in the bed. I started to panic because the nightmare seemed too vivid. I looked at the clock and it was 6am. I stumbled into the next room to find my wife watching the news and getting ready for work. I don't think I ever hugged her so tightly.
