Lebron James has been the best player in the NBA for a few years now. The only thing that separates him from all-time legends is a ring.

Lebron would never shake the "quitter" label if he retired mid way through the first round of the playoffs ;).

And I wonder if Bosh would join his two amigos and then lament his lack of time at the shuffleboard courts?

....and..I think JV's right that the lack of games would hinder either getting in if their careers ended so soon.

Lebron is better than Wade without a doubt.

But you know what the funny thing is?

If this Miami Super Team works out...and they go on to win multiple rings together, wouldn't Bron always have 1 less ring than Wade? I know Wade's 2 years older though, so there's always the possibility of Lebron getting a ring after Wade retires but still.

A guy with 2 MVPs vs a guy with a Finals MVP and a ring.

I'd give it to Wade, honestly. If he didn't go beast-mode for the Heat in their title run, they would not have gotten past the Mavericks.

It's because of D-Wade that the Heat won that year. I'd give my vote to Wade.

This doesn't take anything away from what LeBron has accomplished, though.

I'll take the great player who was the team's #1 option who won a ring over the one that didn't win a ring.

Wade- He's got the ring and is tremendously more tempered.

ALL JAMES HAS IS SKILL FROM SIZE, EVEN AT THE END OF GAMES THAT FAILS TO SHOW UP. Sorry for all caps :)

Why would you not give it to the best player on their team? Wade it is.

Pierce is a better all round player than Allen. He deserved the Finals MVP which he got when the Celtics won it all.

Haha, fair enough. Just saying that, barring some already famous person joining the NBA, jersey sales show popularity and influence on the league and its fan base. So if a guy has the #1 selling jersey he obviously impacts the game of basketball in a very meaningful and significant way.

No it doesn't, it means he is the most talked about person by the media. Most of people that buys jerseys are casual NBA fans. If you ask a person that has only seen a handful of NBA games to name two players in the NBA, it will be Kobe and Lebron, and if they went out and bought a jersey it will be Kobe or Lebron. Just like if a person that has never seen a baseball game will always go out an buy an yankee hat.

MVPs are by the media and by no way do they make things legit. He is no doubt a good player, but the award is just subjective. John stockton did what nash did for years, except he played defense too, but nash has two mvps so he is better, so he is better and more deserving of hall of fame than Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Hakeem?

There you go right there to show that some MVP count can't be the factor

Wade carried that team to the title and he is the winner and could've been MVP(as he deserved it) in this leageu as well, i take him

    I would go with Wade.

When talent is comparable, I go with the guy who has done it on the higher level.

It's funny how sure people are that this isn't a tough question, yet the overall opinion is pretty much split in half.

Lebron may be the most iconic basketball player since Jordan.

I think Wade's been better than Lebron at times but is overshadowed because he wasn't a phenom coming out of highschool.

It's hard to not only think about basketball. The media can turn a star in to a superstar.

Lebron over Wade, if no name european players, college coaches, and women can become HOFs, then these guys should make it in no problem.
