Les AND Morey both suck. For the first time in his tenure I'm sorely disappointed in our GM.

Lol, the Texans player LOVE Gary Kubiak. They go over and beyond for him to keep his job. They battlefight each and every week!

Also thats some BS about the Rockets being the worst team talent wise in the NBA. Go read the threads at the start of the season please.

You'll be convinced that Morey has assembled the deepest team in the NBA.

But some people have to point the finger somewhere and I bet Morey will be next.

    Cannot blame the GM

He does not sign the paychecks. If Les wanted him back he would be back

    Totally on the owner

Maybe it was mutual in that Adelman was informed of the plans for the offseason, and didn't want to have any part of rebuilding. Hello NY or LA anyone? Best of luck.

And once more, please not Mike Brown.

The Kings have not been the same because Chris Webber (MVP candidate) and Peja's (MVP candidate) both started to slow down. Chris suffered a major injury and was never the same. Peja...I have no idea what happened to that dude he just started to brick shots.

So in a matter of a few seasons, Morey has managed to create sour relationships with our (now ex) Hall of Fame coach and pretty much every player on the roster, all while failing to get us the superstar player he spent two years acquiring "assets" for. Fantastic management. This organization is going nowhere.

Yeah, the deepest team with a deepest hole in the center without counting the defensive holes in Martin, Scola and Budinger.

talent wise, yup, we have so many all stars like other teams.

    The Kubiak comparison is stupid

Kubiak is a damn loser--never been to the playoffs and rated the worst coach in the NFL and has a lifetime losing record

Rick is going to the hall of fame and no. 8 on the list of all time wins.

    The comparison is damn stupid

    Foolish comparison...

The Texans actually had talent and couldn't finish above 500.

The Rockets have no talent and actually had winning record.

Do your homework before posting idiotic nonsense

This is simply ridiculous. How could this Hall of Fame coach went wrong? He never had losing seasons with Houston. Yao being injured for two straight years. Thats mainly the reason Rockets didnt get in the playoff. I disagree with Rockets decision to let Adelman go. He's a great coach. Just give Adelman more time to rebuild this team. Very bad decision by Rockets.

"It has been a privilege and an honor to work with and learn from Rick during these past four years." These situations are always difficult, but we would like to personally thank Rick and his staff for their efforts..."--Daryl Morey on Rick Adelman.

With the announcement Monday that Rick Adelman will not return as the Rockets head coach for the 2011-12 season, here is a list of candidates for the vacant job:

    IF HE’S OUT THERE
    Stan Van Gundy
    – If he leaves Orlando, he and Rick Adelman will be on the top of many lists. Would be ideal fit.
    PROVEN COMMODITIES
    Mike Brown
    – Former Coach of Year with Cavaliers, brings a defensive emphasis.
Mike Woodson – Former Hawks coach and former Rockets player known for strong relationship with players.
Jeff Van Gundy – Unlikely that they would go back to JVG, but he’s still here, rested and ready.
    TOP ASSISTANTS
    Elston Turner
    – Long-time Adelman assistant has been finalist for other jobs, would ease transition.
Jack Sikma – Another Rockets assistant and former star center also considered ready to move over to head coach position.
Dwayne Casey—Briefly the Timberwolves coach, a top assistant with Mavericks and finalist for several jobs.
Mike Budenholzer – Longtime Spurs assistant, would be strong candidate in Tom Thibodeau mold.
Mike Malone – Former Cavaliers assistant in first year in New Orleans, a top name around NBA.
Lawrence Frank – Celtics assistant and former Nets head coach in the Jeff Van Gundy mold.
Mario Elie – Former Rockets champion has paid due with San Antonio, Golden State and Sacramento.
    BLASTS FROM THE PAST
    Larry Brown
    – Well-traveled Hall of Famer, considered Rockets when Van Gundy was hired.
Mike Dunleavy – Former Rockets guard, was a finalist for Rockets job before went to Clippers.

Then why have some sports writers already made that comparison. I think it's actually rather apt. It's not about the coach, its about the mentality of accepting mediocrity out of fear of losing. The team needs a new philosophy, a new direction, we need change. Adelman is great at what he does, but we do not want what he does, we want something new. Letting him go is more of a function of the fact he doesn't do what we need him to do anymore. We need something new. That is the corollary. Teams like the Texans and Astros accept mediocrity, we don't.

The KINGS suck because they haven't had a hall of fame coach spacing the floor getting easy buckets from ball movement. Don't worry, we'll suck for the next 10 years too

If you think the kings are untalented, wtf do you think about the rockets?
