His poor coaching decisions led to a winning percentage of 59% (highest in Rockets history) despite constantly having a maximum salary superstar on the sidelines.

This mediocre coach took less than mediocre teams to overachieve year after year.

You sir, are a complete moron.

I hope he goes to the Warriors, they'll be an unstoppable offensive machine with skills and quickness of Steph, Monta, David Lee, Dorell Wright, and Reggie Williams... that would be so much fun

Are you freakin kidding me? No way in hell I'm taking Brown pathetic "let his assistance do the coaching" ways! RA was the best option moving forward.

This is only what the Houston MEDIA reported (Which is pro organization). If the rift was who Adelman chose to play then the problem lies with the organization. Adelman was only about winning and the organization was about showcasing they're young "assets". Winning is always the first priority

Completely offbase. Shane Battier won ball games (check game1 against San Antonio:rolleyes: ). Adelman trusted Battier because Battier did all the little things that won games, he also defended all five positions. Moving Shane actually gave Budinger starter minutes, and Bud wouldn't be starting on any other team but a Morey managed team goin absolutely nowhere. If your legitimately tryna win games, Shane should've never been traded. Ask Memphis how valuable he is..

PS. If Adelman wasn't the best fit, please give me ONE coach that could've
got more outta a team with a 6'6 center and no go-to player down the stretch?

Huh? A hall of fame coach who's already been to the finals not championship caliber???
Not to mention he lost to Mjs Bulls who might've been the best team ever assembled. Your clearly delusional dude. The question is Daryl Morey a champion caliber GM

The problem is the organization wasn't fully committed to winning and won't be anytime soon. The people who'll suffer will be the fans. Les and Morey have set this franchise back ten years

    This says it all.

Its hard to find coaches that the players love playing for--its an intangible that is underrated

The only way I'll be happy with this move is Greg Popavich is our new coach.

If he goes anywhere, I hope it is there. I hate the Lakers, but Rick deserves to WIN!

This in itself is the most loaded question of all. We have no idea what the team of the next year (and subsequent years) so to speculate who is better than Adelman is hard to discern. We have no idea what direction Morey will take this team. We don't even have a superstar. The structure of this team is not set. Maybe Rick is the answer, maybe he isn't. All we can be sure of is that change is in the air. There's just too much speculation here to really grade this decision, all you can do is voice your emotions. Emotions don't win championships, so it's rather moot.

Welcome new coach, whomever you turn out to be. Ignore the cliffjumpers, they'll be back in a few years when we are WINNING (in Charlie Sheen's voice).

Sorry to see him go. I wonder if bringing in Stan Van Gundy (I'm not much of a fan, personally) could help our chances of bringing in Dwight?
