    He is the most overhyped/overrated coach...

    He basically told LBJ get the ball and make me look good.

    I respectfully disagree AggnRox-

    Maybe sneaking into the playoffs wouldn't have saved RA, but ultimately this move leads us in the opposite direction of a title for now and the forseeable future.

    I agree, appears to be all downhill from here. Here's hoping Morey's summer action will change our minds.

    Exactly, it was more like the NBA wanted to give that Cavs team as many meaningless awards as possible because they knew LeBron couldn't get that team a championship.

    I'm very disappointed in losing coach, but if it's Mike Brown I'll not be happy at all.

    I keep asking myself, what would it have taken to keep coach around? What needed to be different during the season? Was it just about winning? Les and coach not seeing eye to eye? What freaking brought the team to this point??

    I will put my hallowed Clutchfans reputation on the line by saying this is a terrible move.

    Dumb post. The main reason the rockets were even close to respectable is because of Rick. One of th best coaches in the league, not going to find anyone better. Looks like the rockets are a step closer to becoming the next Sacramento kings. I'm sure Eric Musselman or Reggie Theus would love a head coaching iob.

    Elston didn't show very good game management in the one game (a loss) he coached in Rick's absence. Small sample size, I know... Anyway, if Morey wants a stats guy: Brad Stevens or Shane Battier-- or both!

    He was robbed. His two stars could not stay healthy and we trade away most of the team in a two year span. How can any coach succeed when there is no continuity? Bad look from the Rockets front office.

    Well,

    If those reams of data the Rockets gave Adelman included data showing that Hayes should be playing major minutes and Lowry should be the point guard, and Adelman ignored that data until January of this season, then I would be disappointed in Adelman. Adelman did admit this season that it took him until the middle of the year to figure out he had to have Hayes on the floor for this team to be successful.

    And if those reams of data showed that Hill shoudl not have been playing, then I totally understand their frustration with Adelman.

    I may catch hell for this but I really like the move to get rid of R. Adelman. He is/was a mediocre coach and I will not miss his POOR coaching decisions down the stretch. :grin:
