I think anyone is a fool to think SVG would land Dwight here too, but even if it increases our chances by 1%, do you try it?

I mean, we're not going to do any major damage until we land a star or two more VERY good starters, so it wouldn't hurt to bring him in.

Stan is a good coach that I think has been hurt by a revolving door of role players in Orlando. Never built much cohesion. IF we could land a star and Morey could feed him role players, watch out; but, you could essentially say the same thing about Adelman.

Unpopular decision, but in my opinion the correct choice.

But now you gotta be right with the new coach, and that's difficult.

    Rockets are ****in stupid.

But it's typical. Franchise has been that way more times than not in the last 13 years.

If rebuilding mode is on now, players like Scola, KM or Lowry should be traded, at least 2 of them.

Young players all along and Houston Wolves will hope to be a good team in several years.

Something needed to be done. Is this what we needed? I'm not sure... Let's just hope the basketball Gods favor us in the draft...

If I am not mistaken doesn't Adleman have the best winning percentage of a Rockets coach in history? And that was without any of superstars being fully healthy.

He does leave us with the best win % in our history of coaches. That's something. Considering he had a good Mcgrady for about 1 season a good Yao for 1.5 seasons, minus 3 crucial playoff games.

Van Gundy has a contract with Magic and everyone knows he's one of best in league. But if Magic are scapegoating, who knows what they'll do?

Stan has job in Orlando but if he becomes available after playoffs, he's held in high regard within Rockets. Jeff still lives in Houston.

A source close to the Rockets confirms that coach Rick Adelman will not return next season. An open search is expected.

Others believe Rockets want to go unconventional and try to unearth the next big coaching star. Well, who doesn't? Easier said than done.

KPRC Local 2 Randy McIlvoy also reporting 2 (possible?) candidates are current assistant Elston Turner and Mario Elie

Exactly. Why would anyone be excited about rebuilding? We're almost there. Dwight Howard or bust.

Woj: Expect the Rockets to grant interviews to assistants Elston Turner and Jack Sikma, source says. Both are considered future head coaches.

I dont like it, but saw it coming...It just bad timing for both sides....Rockets need time to build themselves back up and RA doesn't have that time left in his career. I guess you really can't blame either side for their decision. I just hope Les brings in a good candidate...not brown..

KPRC mentioned Elie could be considered..not sure what their source is though, maybe just speculation on their part.

I can see Jax retiring this year and LA going after RA, especially if they don't win it all. Miami will probably go after him too.

Pencil in a very rough start to next season.

This has changed a few things about my fandom.

Terrence Williams: Used to be indifferent; now I flat out hate him.

Daryl Morey: used to be positive, now approaching indifference.

Adelman: used to be positive, now I just wish him success somewhere.

This is a crappy situation UNLESS we get a better replacement. If it's Mike Brown I'm going to punch Morey in the teeth.

If it's anyone else I'll give him half a season before I pass judgment.

I think Mario was speculated when Adelman was hired as well, I think he is just a logical consideration

Lowry? He's 25, is that not young enough?
