My statement really has nothing to do with what SVG wants.

Per the information we have, they appear to be targeting SVG for whatever reason. They obviously think he is either a better coach than Adelman, or they want to try to do as much as possible to sell Dwight Howard on Houston.

Since as of now, SVG is in the playoffs and cant exactly be courted, they are staying silent. There is no reason to dump Adelman just to dump him. I can understand wanting to upgrade if you can, but you dont burn that bridge unless you have too.

Rockets are probably going to sit on thier thumbs and remain silent until they know one way or the other if they can get an upgrade at coach. If not, well then, welcome back RA.

(this is pure speculation on my part)

Justice is great at taking no news, tossing in an erroneous thought, and making a blog out of it.

"Doing it the right way"....generally means you don't fire a successful guy the day after the season ends. Do it quietly and avoid headlines.

Given that I believe there is a successor already in the wings and there's usually a preference to install a new guy well ahead of the draft...I don't think there's going to be a long wait. I suspect we'll have a new coach before the month lets out.

i hope we don't get rid of him. i think he's in the top tier of coaches, and it would be a shame if we just let him go. at least offer him something, and let him decide.

Why would you want SVG? He coaches a team that under achieves every year.

I dissagree. I think if you take Howard away from that team they win 9 games.

Why would you want to sign and pay for a coach when there's going to be a lockout?

The humor in this whole SVG theory is that Howard would follow him to Houston.

They have argued almost more than any other coach and star player, I doubt Howard will even take into consideration ANYTHING SVG does in his decision.

If the Rox have reduced themselves to this tactic, they are running out of bullets for their gun, IMO.

since I'm in FL I've followed plenty of Magic games, and to me personally SVG is worst than JVG

at least JVG had a defensive mindset, you can't pinpoint anything that SVG does well...

and he might have had a better team than the rockets over the last 4-5 years

The players want Adelman, but don't expect Adelman to stay if the GM and the Owner don't want him there. Lets make the men in power decide, all we can do support Adelman until he is no longer a Rocket. For Adelman fans don't worry, he will find another team if he wants. For Rockets fans we may have a hard time finding a hall of fame coach, so that means going with a "young gun" who will accept a lower salary in the event of a lockout. Either way I hope a decision is made prior to the draft.
