Francis is a good defender?

    According to the SI preview, lol. He was the only one rated as a good defender or someone with strong D, as they put it.

    haha ya, I got a kick out of those defensive ratings, not just with Francis.

    Casell, who is a worse defender than Francis, was given "fair d". Ditto for Jesus Parker. Nash was given strong D... Pippen too. Mo was given fair d? Marion should have been given strong D.

    I don't get why they listed Ming as having "fair d". He is a shot blocking machine.

    I don't think Ming has ever blocked a shot in the NBA....

    Besides, shot-blockign isn't all there is to defense - they're probably obsessed with Ming being 'too0thin' (even though he clocks in at 300lbs!)

    He blocked 3 shots in 37 minutes in the preseason. That is pretty darn good.
