Agree on all points esp. on Adelman. Adelman is one of the best in the NBA, consistent winner with no drama vs players

You are giving Morey wayyyy too much credit -- he did not know that Lowry would be this good. And given the opportunity of trading for Chris Bosh or the next Kyle Lowry, DM is taking Bosh every time.

    I am serious.

Rondo's inability to shoot has been the Celtics' primary problem. Did you see the game where Dallas dared Rondo to take the game winning shot but he missed?

And you can't use Rondo's playoff game two years ago and ignore the playoff games he had just last year. Against the Lakers, his inability to shoot became a problem.

Suck it up, Martin. 90% of the entire league is a 'trade asset'. They just don't bother fretting about it every day.

And who thought Martin is injury prone? He lasted a full season, took all those punches and now throwing one out himself. I agree, stop the noise about trades. Its' GOING to happen but THEY or even US need not to know about it till its near.

If I worked for a job that treated me look a bull with a number stamped on, knowing I could be slaughtered at anytime. I don't think I'd be too happy about it. I know it's ok to some people because a job is a job, but a shty job is a shty job.

The principle of all jobs are the same, but how you carry it out could be different.

1 full healthy season out of the last 4.

That seems injury prone to me

And? They lost because of his inability to shoot.

Every team's gameplan against the Celtics is to make Rondo their scorer. They are more than willing to give Rondo 15 wide open shots.

Rondo isn't the only reason, but yes he was a big reason. But his inability to shoot became a problem in the finals.

They were fluke. If you start out one full season and start to break down the next three, it makes more sense. Unless Martin is still an infant and growing stronger everyday!

This. And WTF, has everyone forgotten Morey has been building around Yao for years now?

Hopefully morey will learn that the team needs some stability. Coaches and players need that. The fans need it. You can't build a team of assets for future trades you have to build a team for the here and now.

I dunno, but if you want to take away credit for that, then you have to give Morey even more credit for trading his starting PG for the guy. That took balls.

Agreed. Morey thought he was undervalued and could improve on his game and went after him -- props to him for scouting that. But I think in a radio interview early in the year, Morey said he thought Lowry's 3PT% could improve to the 32-35% area. Obviously, Lowry has exceeded those expectations. I don't believe Morey ever felt he would be this good.. but then again: it's been one year. Let's not go crazy with conclusions ("Who needs Deron Williams?!") -- he'll have to prove he can replicate this success next year and the year after.

It's because 90% of the league doesn't hear about their entire roster being shopped every day.

This board has been fuming for trades for the past 2 seasons, and now it's Morey's fault for trying to make moves? Almost every player in the league is an asset, and is tradeable for the right price. I don't mind Martin saying what he did, but people would be screaming one way or the other. Either they'd be saying, "dont' treat our players like assets", or "why is Morey content with mediocrity....we should trade for a star player".

Not sure if you know this or not, but this injury-ravaged team full of low first rounders and 2nd rounders has a better leader than TMac, which is why they are a much better offensive team than any of TMac's teams, ever.

Unless you're talking about TMac's elite defensive leadership LOL.

I'm thinking all the expiring contracts, the uncertainties, the "no extensions", Battier and Brooks being veterans and even "they" arent being taken care of adds to the thinking of "whats that make ME/everyone else then?" Plus the looming COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT, it all added up to too many uncertainties.

That approach has its negatives, too.

If someone helps you out of a bad situation, do you want that other person constantly reminding you that they're the ones that "made you what you are?", always hanging it over your head?

If that's the case, he's done a poor job thus far
