That's fine, they can call Yao bust if they want. But Vin Baker, a sleeper? That's just preposterous!

Sporting News has Mo Taylor listed as the 2nd most likely bust.

Lol, Drew Gooden would be your starting power forward. He is better than every interior player on the Rockets and only Yao has the potential to be better. Drew Gooden a bust:rolleyes:

I agree MemphisX. Gooden is a MUCH better rebounder than Griffin right now. Eddie has more range, but less dribbling skills. However, what sets Eddie apart from just about any young player in the league is his natural shot blocking ability. They both have the potential to be perennial All-Stars. Yao has all of those things and unlimited potential.

Hey troll, nobody here said Gooden would be a bust, it was ESPN. But how you just turn that around and try to make the point that Gooden is better than any frontcourt player on the Rockets just demonstrates your trollishness. Last time I checked Gooden hadn't even played a real NBA game yet. Why don't you leave and start a Grizzlies message board?

Yeah he'll start on our bench. Look troll, we know you're obsessed with Drew Gooden, but if you're interior is so good why do people see the Rockets improving and don't say a thing about Memphis? In fact the people who pick the Rockets behind Memphis do so because health is an issue. But tell Gooden nice job of stopping our interior play during the preseason game. Griffin is better then Gooden now period. And if you don't like that opinion tough, tell Gooden to do something in the regular season to change that.

It's pretty amusing that the thread title says ESPN sucks, all the posts says ESPN sucks for saying that guys like Yao and Gooden are bust, yet all MemphisX's troll mind can see is "Rockets fans are ripping Gooden", and then proceed to trash our frontline and rave about Gooden's potential being better then the Rockets even though he hasn't seen him play one regular season game. I'm actually shocked by this because MemphisX for the most part has been a good poster, but when you come in and say that a rookie that hasn't played a regular season game yet is better then your 2nd year player who just finished with a dominate preseason game in his own right, one when he finished 1st in blocks, and say that he doesn't have the potential to be better then Gooden and his 0 years of experience in the NBA you're asking for trouble.

In all seriousness, the Griffin/Ming v. Gasol/Gooden matchup will be a great one to watch for years to come if all of these guys fulfill their potential.

To me, Yao won't get enough touches to score. He'll have to do it by his defense...blocking shots and rebounding.

If you guys hate ESPN, and think it sucks so much, then why oh why do you keep coming back for more?

It's like a little kid who keeps touching the hot stove.

It didn't take much effort for him to score 13 points in 24 minutes in the last game. If he could do that and get a couple blocks and about 6-7 rebounds, he could easily make ROY.

That's what I'm saying, I stopped giving them any kind of credibility weeks ago. Now granted they're the major sports media organization and they do have the NBA, but ESPN has become so pathetic this preseason, I don't know what happened to it. I agree codell, Memphis has a nice frontline, they could be another Sacramento Kings, the early years of the Kings, all offense no defense. It took the Kings a few years to learn to play some D.
