I saw this and Source Code this weekend and finding a good horror flick these days is kinda rare. Insidious was pretty damn solid, with it's Hitchcock like score and resemblances to Poltergeist. The whole theater was jumping and screaming.
I haven't seen this yet, but want to now that I've seen some positive reviews. I think James Wan is good, written and directed by him, I think? Last time he did that was the original/first Saw, which was pretty good.
I saw a sneak preview at studio movie grill a couple weeks ago. Lots of cheap scares and a boring first half. I still like it though.
This movie was legit, it mirrored a lot of movies, but somehow remained authentic. All in all good scare, especially the ending. I knew somethings was coming just didn't know what.
Solid horror film, kind of a throwback to horror movies from the 70's, low on gore high on tension. Gets a little goofy here and there but still a solid film.
The same guy that did the first Saw movie??? Where has he been though??? Didn't he do one with Kevin Bacon as a hit man or something avenging the death of his family and towards the end kind of feels like 'Taxi Driver?'
