EDIT: Looks like I didn't do my research, the playoff teams have been decided, but some standings could still change. Guess we'll have to wait a few days before this can be official. Now that all of the playoff teams/standings have been decided, it's time to make some predictions. Choose 1 team on each line you see. The easiest way may be to copy and paste what I have below, then just bold your choices. First Round West (1) Spurs vs. (8) Grizzlies (2) Lakers vs. (7) Hornets (3) Mavericks vs. (6) Blazers (4) Thunder vs. (5) Nuggets East (1) Bulls vs. (8) Pacers (2) Celtics vs. (7) 76ers (3) Heat vs. (6) Knicks (4) Magic vs. (5) Hawks Conference Semi-Finals West (1) Spurs/(8) Grizzlies vs. (4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets (2) Lakers/(7) Hornets vs. (3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers East (1) Bulls/(8) Pacers vs. (4) Magic/(5) Hawks (2) Celtics/(7) 76ers vs. (3) Heat/(6) Knicks Conference Finals West (1) Spurs/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets East (1) Bulls/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(8) Pacers vs. (2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers Finals (1) Spurs/(2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (1) Bulls/(2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers(8) Pacers I'll keep track of the picks so we can declare the winner (or winners) if we get enough people to make some picks. Here are my predictions: First Round West (1) Spurs vs. (8) Grizzlies (2) Lakers vs. (7) Hornets (3) Mavericks vs. (6) Blazers (4) Thunder vs. (5) Nuggets East (1) Bulls vs. (8) Pacers (2) Celtics vs. (7) 76ers (3) Heat vs. (6) Knicks (4) Magic vs. (5) Hawks Conference Semi-Finals West (1) Spurs/(8) Grizzlies vs. (4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets (2) Lakers/(7) Hornets vs. (3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers East (1) Bulls/(8) Pacers vs. (4) Magic/(5) Hawks (2) Celtics/(7) 76ers vs. (3) Heat/(6) Knicks Conference Finals West (1) Spurs/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets East (1) Bulls/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(8) Pacers vs. (2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers Finals (1) Spurs/(2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (1) Bulls/(2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers(8) Pacers So I have the Lakers over the Bulls. It's tough right now for me to make my picks because Portland Memphis and New Orleans could end in any order. And Philly might pass New York... West Spurs in 6 Memph will play tough but not good enough without Gay Lakers in 5 Lakers Roll Dallas in 6 Dirk plays amazing this series Thunder 5 They've had there number lately. Thunder 6 Upset Lakers 6 Dirk plays amazing but of course noone else does. Thunder 6 Stunning everyone! Kobe talks mess Ron Artest flexes muscles. East Bulls 4 Larry Bird cries Celtics 6...Go down 2-1 while shaq gets back in it then roll Heat 6 after New York goes up 2-1 Magic 5 Joe Johnson gets boo'd off the stage Bulls 6 over Magic Dwight does all the work noone else does he announces he wants to be Houston Celtics 6 over Heat, Everyone cries in the locker room Miami FO trades James for Bogut Jennings Bulls 5 over Celtics. Rose leaves the court with MVP chants Garnett gets ejected from game 5 for pulling Noah's hair Finals Bulls over Thunder in 6 and we have two new young teams to watch dominate while Lebron cries in Milwaukee
First Round West (1) Spurs vs. (8) Grizzlies (2) Lakers vs. (7) Hornets (3) Mavericks vs. (6) Blazers (4) Thunder vs. (5) Nuggets East (1) Bulls vs. (8) Pacers (2) Celtics vs. (7) 76ers (3) Heat vs. (6) Knicks (4) Magic vs. (5) Hawks Conference Semi-Finals West (1) Spurs/(8) Grizzlies vs. (4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets (2) Lakers/(7) Hornets vs. (3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers East (1) Bulls/(8) Pacers vs. (4) Magic/(5) Hawks (2) Celtics/(7) 76ers vs. (3) Heat/(6) Knicks Conference Finals West (1) Spurs/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets East (1) Bulls/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(8) Pacers vs. (2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers Finals (1) Spurs/(2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (1) Bulls/(2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers(8) Pacers
A little early since not all matchups are finalized. West Hornets will lose in 1st round. Lakers will trample whoever in 1st round. Lakers will be in the Finals. Mavs and Spurs aren't good enough and the Thunder aren't ready yet. East Book it all the top seeds will advance except maybe the Celtics. Heat and Bulls will play in the ECFs. That's all I feel comfortable predicting right now. Let's try a new thread Wednesday night.
True, but I figured the only teams that have chances at moving aren't going to really matter (Portland, N.O., Memphis, NY, Philly) since they're all the underdogs, and this would give us more time to get predictions in. Pugs
Actually, I think Portland and Memphis have legit chances to advance to the 2nd round. I also give either New York or Philly a slim chance to beat Boston.
First Round West (1) Spurs vs. (8) Grizzlies (2) Lakers vs. (7) Hornets (3) Mavericks vs. (6) Blazers (4) Thunder vs. (5) Nuggets East (1) Bulls vs. (8) Pacers (2) Celtics vs. (7) 76ers (3) Heat vs. (6) Knicks (4) Magic vs. (5) Hawks Conference Semi-Finals West (1) Spurs/(8) Grizzlies vs. (4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets (2) Lakers/(7) Hornets vs. (3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers East (1) Bulls/(8) Pacers vs. (4) Magic/(5) Hawks (2) Celtics/(7) 76ers vs. (3) Heat/(6) Knicks Conference Finals West (1) Spurs/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets East (1) Bulls/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(8) Pacers vs. (2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers Finals (1) Spurs/(2) Lakers/(3) Mavericks/(4) Thunder/(5) Nuggets/(6) Blazers/(7) Hornets/(8) Grizzlies vs. (1) Bulls/(2) Celtics/(3) Heat/(4) Magic/(5) Hawks/(6) Knicks/(7) 76ers(8) Pacers
I think Heat takes 2nd seat now they just beat Celtics. I really wanted to see a Heat vs Knicks shootout though, too bad that ain't happening.
First Round Spurs Lakers Mavs Thunder Bulls Celtics Heat Magic Semi-Finals Thunder Lakers Bulls Heat Conference Finals Thunder Bulls NBA Finals Thunder
Without our Rockets, This playoffs are going to be the most interesting in years. First Round West (1) Spurs vs. (8) Grizzlies -I think the Grizzlies are going 7th but I'd take them over San Antonio.- (2) Lakers vs. (7) Hornets (3) Mavericks vs. (6) Blazers (4) Thunder vs. (5) Nuggets East (1) Bulls vs. (8) Pacers (2) Celtics vs. (7) 76ers (3) Heat vs. (6) Knicks (4) Magic vs. (5) Hawks Conference Semi-Finals West (8) Grizzlies vs. (4) Thunder. -I don't know about this, the Thunder have the most Championship potential out of the non-favorites but I don't know if they'll seize it, I'll give them the slight edge though I really like the Grizzlies wreaking some havoc. (2) Lakersvs. (3) Mavericks. You're going nowhere, Dallas. East (1) Bulls vs. (4) Magic. Chicago cruises to the Conference finals. What's Orlando to do after this season? Howard will have legit reasons to bolt out of there. (2) Celtics vs. (3) Heat Boston silenced doubters last year, but still I think they've slipped. Conference Finals West (4) Thunder vs.[/B] (2) Lakers. I heard a lot of people saying OKC gave the Lakers fit, yes they did, but it wasn't something the Lakers couldn't handle. East (1) Bulls vs. (3) Heat. This is where it gets hard. Whoever comes out of the Heat-Celtics series is coming out being tested while that would be Chicago's first. For me is a toss up here, so I'm going with the best chemistry.

First Round Bulls over Indy in 5 Heat over Philly in 5 Celtics over Knicks in 7 Hawks over Magic in 6 Spurs over Griz in 6 Lakers over Hornets in 4 Mavs over Blazers in 6 Thunder over Nuggets in 5 Second Round Bulls over Hawks in 5 Heat over Celtics in 7 Thunder over Spurs in 6 Lakers over Mavs in 5 Conference Finals Bulls over Heat in 7 Thunder over Lakers in 6 Finals Bulls over Thunder in 6
Grizzlies vs. Pacers in the finals. Danny Granger carries his team to victory with 82 points in game 7. Zach Randolph has a career-ending injury. Rudy Gay goes M.I.A. for the entire series. Pacers fans ditch victory parade in favor of attending a local race.
