Ok if what you say is true, then name another player who's done more for the organization in the last 7 years as far as generating revenue, taking the team to the playoffs, expanding our fan base, and just being a great overall teammate. Now if you can't come up with a clear and definitive example, then I suggest you shut up and admit you're a fool for making this comment.

I hope that the answer is nothing and Yao will not be back. This team nees to move on from the failed yao-mac era.

This. Tired of seeing him on the sidelines cheerleading. He should retire already.

Can they sign him to an incentive laden vet min contract?

If they are able to work something like that out, they will be able to mitigate much of the issues with bringing him back on the roster.

    I say 2 years 10 million 5 million a year. I'm willing to go with a 3rd year with a team option.

I'd pay money as a fan for him NOT to be back.

    MOVE ON already.

I loved him as a Rocket. But it's time for change.

It really makes me laugh that some people really think it's for the best to bring him back?? really?

and people act like this generating money revune has even mattered it terms of how our team performs... what a joke.

oh and if it has?? cool, we are a "rich" team that sucks

I actually see Yao coming back on a minimum one year deal... non-guaranteed. Because I think his going to see how his body react to an 82 game season again, before signing a longer term deal.

Yao made over 30 million dollars the last 2 seasons for nothing. From what we know about him, I would be surprised if he refused the veteran minimum.

    Thats the bottom line.

Considering Yao will likely be with the Rockets for better or for worse - a low contract with incentives is the way to go so as not to cripple the teams cap situation.

I say we reach an agreement for $20 every game he completes. So by the end of the season it'll probably be about $60.

He's not worth a dime over the league minimum.

Should be zero or non-guaranteed, realistically will be minimum, will *facepalm* if it's more.

Yao's revenue generating ability means Les can afford to go over the Luxury Tax threshold year after year to build a better roster so yes...it can and does indirectly affect how our team performs.

Signing Yao, even to a minimum, would be moving backwards, not forwards.
