our team could be a contender...............

I am not so certain that you are correct about "delusional stuff"
I like the true Rockets Fans, I am open minded and will only only know when Yao Ming has had his last chance.:p

our team could be a contender if tmac when to his 2005 form. what's your point?

do you realistically think yao is still going back to his peak form (almost 3 years ago) after having injuries and reinjuries and surgeries and missing all this time?

And if my aunt had balls she's be my uncle.

Yao's injury troubles are not 2011 news. They are 2005 news. We assembled our basketball franchise around a highly likable, internationally popular marketing force who is also highly injury prone.

The tagline of this era of Rocketball should have been "IF." Our highlight was an admittedly thrilling seven-game series against the Lakers. We went all-in for that.

But I get precisely zero satisfaction from overachieving, yet only d***ing around the 6-10th best record in the West every year. It's great that the guys do their best, scrap and Chuck Hayes themsleves into a better position than the ought to have every year. But at some point, its really crass. Fans have spent their sports loyalty - and role players have spent their careers (battier, hayes, etc) - with a franchise that never could look itself in the mirror. The myth of "If Yao Was Healthy" was sold year after year to an increasingly disinterested fanbase.

No disrecptect to Scola, Lowry, Hayes, Patterson, etc. But the team's endless peddling of this "with a healthy yao" bullcrap is soooo tiresome.

C-Brown with the heat fo yo $ss! Lol.

That post summed up my feelings and probably alot others. Honestly, what did we accomplish with Yao being the 2nd highest paid on the team? 1 2nd rd appearence. They had the home court against a young jazz team and were up 2-0 against the mavs and lost. Now all of a sudden he's taking us somewhere?

    Ding, Ding, Ding!!!!!

Finally a clear, concise post reflecting most of the fanbase's frustrations with this franchise in general and Yao in particular.

Actually we'd be in the playoffs if Chuck and Kyle had never got injured. No point in speculating about Yao.

We'd be in the playoffs if Aaron Brooks was never born.

Actually, much more so than Yao, Brooks managed to torpedoed not only the Rockets chances of making the playoffs, but the Suns too. lol.

Yao didnt look good enough to lead us to the playoffs when healthy this year. For the very few games he played granted. So few its not even clear why we are still having this insane argument.
