I recently begin donating plasma and for those of you who do not know, plasma is that clear or yellowish part of your blood. I used to donate blood every 3 months or so for FREE. Well I can donate plasma twice a week and I get PAID for it. I got $15 for my first donation then $20 for my next and now I get $25 from now on. I have heard that some plasma donation centers will pay up to $60 a donation and at twice a week that's $120 a week or about $500 a month. The only down-side I have experienced in donating plasma is that it takes a lot longer than donating blood. So if you are looking for a little extra cash or something like that I would suggest you look and see if you have a plasma donation center in your area and besides getting money you actually help other people out in donating.
Elvis and I did it for gas money (a sad period in our lives!) and I must warn you all: you can react quite badly to it. I thought I would pass out the first time and the nausea was horrible. Yay for my jobs. Yay. Yay.
Isn't the term for that: serial donor? Also, aren't you required to take a physical that is a bit more extensive than the usual: blood pressure temperature pulse blood spin test
They can take all the blood they want, but I'll be damed if they're putting it back in when they're done. That just sounds horrible.
donating plasma is one of the more popular ways to earn money here at SWT - at least between my friends.
