according to some fans, the training staff were the reason yao and tmac couldn't stay healthy. some even called for them to be replaced because of those player's injuries. to those who wanted to blame the trainers for players getting injured, give them props this year for kevin martin. he's missed only 2 games so far this year after playing only 46, 51, and 61 games in the previous 3 years. imagine that. an injury prone player comes to houston and becomes durable. who would've thought that our masochistic training staff would ever allow that to happen? they must be pretty good after all.
I just don't see how anyone can give them a thumbs up or down. No one here on the forum knew the detailed situation of anyone player's health. If yao was somewhere else, he could have finished this season or he could have been retired by now. Any opinion is pretty much baseless.
I was going to bump that thread where people called Kmart injury prone, but i didnt want to jinx him... But its not just kmart...lowry and bud both seemed to recover completely after their injuries.
I believe the Rocket had in their employ some kind of big time expert or whatever the years prior who started working for the Rox the year Yao became injury prone and he resigned last year. Him being gone might be the reason why the Rox have suddenly become healthy. I forgot his name....I think it sounds similar to Patterson?
Breaking News: Kevin Martin shatters both ankles in a unicycle accident. Career over... DAMN YOU JINX!!!
Martin's injuries were from bad luck rather than injury issues, what's happened this year is he hasn't fallen over awkwardly or gotten cleaned up.
