I think Bud Norris needs to talk to Brett Meyers and realize that you can't go out there trying to strike everyone out. That is what seriously turned him into a good pitcher. Bud throws nothing but fastballs.

He does throw a slider, but yes, he throws too many fastballs. He has been in the league a couple years now and has had the same problems since day 1. Control and overconfidence in 1 pitch. Someone hasnt done their job if he hasnt had a talk with quite a few people. Apparently, he isnt listening
The fact that he throws way too many fastballs combined with him getting into high pitch counts in few innings means he's going to blow his arm out pretty soon. Bud really needs to be moved to the bullpen if he wants any sort of a long career.
Bud, you struck out 5 guys in 3 innings, what an accomplishment! It only took you 68 pitches and you gave up 5 runs in the process but hey we know that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I got 3 words for you: Pitch To Contact.
Man this weekend has me all depressed. Guess I need to sever that emotional connection early here. Fan of a team wondering when this team will win their first game because i really have no idea when that will be? We just chalk this series up to the three aces phenomenon and start fresh next series? Guess so. It would be nice to start a damn season and not be out of the running in the first ten games here. Is that so much to ask for? Maybe so.
The offense was terrible. They had like one walk the whole series. But that was expected when you have a terrible offense going against great pitchers.
