    "This morning's SportsCenter announcement by Ric Bucher, which alleged that Carmelo Anthony had been moved to the Houston Rockets for D-Leaguer Hasheem Thabeet long after the trade deadline, was untrue. I've had a chance to speak with Ric, and he said that he was only trying to be funny on April Fools day, a 'holiday' which apparently allows one to neglect every principle of journalistic integrity that we value here at ESPN. He admits that the joke was in bad taste, both professionally and comedically, and has formally resigned from his position as an NBA analyst."
