    I'm not harboring any illusions of a World Series championship...let alone a .500 season. But I still love Opening Day for the pure joy of it no matter how good or bad the Astros might be.

    I took the day off to watch the Astros get slaughtered. Never fear...there will be beer!

    Of course, I'm hoping for an opening day win for a change.

    Regardless, I plan on enjoying myself and opening day. But, please win Astros. No 0-3 start after 0-8 last year. PLEASE NO O-FER OPENER PUKE IN MY TACOS! WIN! WIN DAMMIT! WIN!!!!!!

    This season is immensely more exciting for me just because we actually have a future. The last couple of years, management was still clinging to hope and putting together patchwork rosters that they thought could contend (overpaying Feliz, signing Pudge) and thinking Berkman and Lee would be all-star hitters. At least now we've begun the rebuilding and can look forward to seeing some young players develop.
