    Past 10 years:

    Lakers, Spurs consistently good.

    Dallas consistently upper-mediocre.

Utah, Houston, Phoenix, Portland consistently mediocre.

Golden State consistently the exact same formula (with a few bursts of overachievement).

    Clippers consistently suck.

IMO the Celtics completely spiked to a new level when Allen, KG, Rondo came on board.

The Celtics were pretty bad before they got Garnett, Allen and Rondo.

I dont necessarily disagree. You're right that they have been consistent since the formation of the "Big Three". I was looking back though at the past, say, 10-15 years.

From 95-96 to 00-01, they were mediocre. 01-05 good or at least made the playoffs, 05-06 & 06-07 fell off again, and of course the "Big Three" came along and been good since. I also think they'll struggle some when those guys retire. Evens out to me.:p

I was tempted to include the Mavs. Been good(in the reg. season at least) the past 10 years. 10 years before that? They stunk.

Pretty much hit it spot on in your previous post.

The Spurs and the Mavs have been pretty consistent.

No huge names coming through trade or free agency, like Pau Gasol to the Lakers.

I guess you could call Caron Butler a huge name, but still, the Mavs have been good this year without him.

That's actually pretty funny, I've always thought the opposite of the Mavs. Walker, Jamison, Stackhouse, Terry, Kidd, Dampier after his one good season, it seems like they're always tinkering with their roster and adding established stars.

    Spurs. Lakers second.

Mavs are consistently gay too. That's why they still don't have any rings.

Timberwolves... when was the last time they went to the playoffs? I know it was with KG but it gotta be team with the longest time of not making the playoffs as of this year.
