How hard is it to deliver to the correct address and if no one is home, just reschedule it!!! Don't leave it for the person next door, they'll just take it... Don't even get me started on USPS probably the worst deliver service ever!!!
I ordered some shirts and they left my box sitting at the door we never go to. I didn't get it until Friday apparently they delivered it on a Tuesday. Good thing a crackhead didn't see them delivering it.
Whenever I order something, regardless if it is UPS, USPS, or FedEx, I routinely check the order status to see when it is scheduled for delivery. We rarely use our front door, so it is a good way to see if things are scheduled for delivery on a particular day.
So they didn't deliver it to the correct address? And because you had it delivered to an address that no one was at, you expect them to deliver it twice? Did your neighbor take your parcel?
I ordered a PS3 a couple years back and they delivered it to my next door neighbor even though I was home!
Isn't that standard operating procedure? No recipient to sign --> put the package back on the truck for re-delivery attempt OR leave a notice for them to pick up the package at the central hub. There can't be a reasonable expectation of having a person there to sign for package every time.
Actually, UPS is one the most efficient operations in the world. So... Make sure your address is visible from the street at your house, and if you're expecting a package make arrangements for someone to be there when it arrives.
It all comes down to the delivery man. Some are lazy and don't give a crap so they'll take easiest path possible which is to just leave it there by the door. Al these gripes are legit.
This....I rarely use my front door, but when I'm expecting something (almost daily since I do about 90% of my shopping online) I constantly check. If they leave a note saying they attempted delivery, usually you can sign it and ask them to leave it with a neighbor, which is what I do. REEKO is right though, getting them delivered to your job is much easier since you'll usually get it sooner, and on the first delivery attempt. Pugs
Generally it depends on the shipper as to whether or not it is left at the door. I have had laptops left on the front porch, yet had to be home to sign for a $10.00 USB device cable.

almost anything I get shipped from amazon requires a signature (if its UPS) and so even if i have the 2-day shipping it means nothing if I am not at home to sign for it. I usually have pretty much everything delivered to work so someone will sign for it and leave it at my desk at work, its safer that way. If there is something really large that would just look odd getting delivered to work then I have it sent to my parents place where my mom is home all day and I'll get it from them over the weekend. anything that is sent via USPS though I just have it sent to my apt never had an issue, but like how its said it depends on the UPS guy. I live close to work so the UPS guy who makes deliveries at work actually makes deliveries around my apt as well - since my name is pretty unique (in america) he noticed that I wasnt at my place when delivering a package once and when I saw him the next day around the office he asked if that was my package and I said yeah and said he'd bring it by at the end of his shift so I would be at home and he did. If you are nice to them they'll be nice back I say.
This thread is scaring the hell outta me. I have something quite important being delivered today via UPS.
