Timeout: Yao Ming song comes on. Im listening on the Sixers radio network from the internet. They don't have commercial breaks, so they just silence the announcers. They let you listen to the background noise during time outs- and there it was. Timeout over, and Ming makes another shot. Gotta love it.
its kinda funny...but its kind of emberassing..If I were Ming, I would be emberasssed if they played a song repeatedly singing my nme like a child...
Yeah, does anyone remember the song we used to play when the Magic came to town (when Shaq was w/them)? "It's A Small World" -Disney We did that to make fun of Shaq and the Magic. Hearing that Yao Ming song seems like they are saying that Yao is wimpy. I sure hope the Rockets PR department doesn't think the song is cool! It's NOT.
The Rockets like it...Ming thinks its cool...The Radio stations here like it...Hmmm Are there a better endorsements than that? Let me weight this out...Two guys on cc.net or the other 5,000 people on cc.net plus the 14,000 Downloads I have had, Versus The Man the song is about, the Organisation he works for, and the flagship radio network. You guys are right my song is bad. chance
That song is excellent. It puts a great big smile on my face when I hear it. Run that thing into the ground!
Chance, you just said "Ming things its cool." I was wondering about this. Wondering what HE would think of the song. How did you find out that he liked it? Did he say anything else about it? Personally, I think the song is very cool and catchy. Both me and my wife find ourselves huming it all day long. Funny! Chris
The Rap part is cool. Not the chorus. It's corny. Sure it's catchy. But so is "PUFF the MAGIC DRAGON." The rap part is tight! Bet me. It will be the butt of jokes on ESPN, and FoxSportsNet. Just like the Houston Oiler song of the 80's. Plus, downloads means nothing. I downloaded it myself to listen to it for the first time.
That song is cooler than any song has ever been cool before. It rocks, turn it up. hehehehehehehehehehehehehe...
DavidS, That's hard core, telling the dude that wrote the song that it is corny. It is what it is - a sports figure tribute and a pretty good one at that. You are definitely in the minority.
Come on man it's all love don't shoot home boy down, you know at least he takes his time to put something this out. Even if you don't dig it it's all about the good vibes bro(s) just chill, don't be squares. I for one don't listen to it all day but I can dig the vibe and his method of expressing his creativity.
Ok, ok....I'll go easy on the guy. All I said that it was corny. I did like the rap part. I DID NOT say that it sucked.
i agree. it's not bad, but the chorus gets old. but hey, if Ming likes it, who am I to complain? I was afraid he'd get annoyed by hearing his name over and over and over...it's catchy....
