This isn't about whether people believe in Yao still or not.

I'm pretty sure if you poll'd this forum and most Rocket fans most will tell you they are ready to move on from Yao.

This is about whether Yao cost the Rockets another season.

That's silly to me, the first 5 games were bad yes...but remember the horrible defense Martin and Brooks played? The horrible defense Scola played?

Those 3 guys basically played no defense at all for the start of the season.

Yep he could have traded Yao for Stupid Amare Staoudemire or drafted Amare instead. It is what is now and some people act like children trying to make others sound like children.

He did cost you the season. The adjustment period it took to get him back and then when he went down permanantly. Ending your season like all other seasons he got injured. Whats there to discuss? Its like they put up layup basketball questions and we have the dumbest fanbase ever who starts to argue against the obvious every single night. I dont care if people are fanatics. When its rampant to the point of our fanabase not having any knowledge? Well.. Nothing I can do if its the culture here already. People arguing against superstars. Arguing against wether Yao by now has cost us seasons. When its time to move Tmac the same folks talking stuff. It just gets a little annoying to hear these people constantly be wrong about every subject with your team and push their opinions on others as facts when they are wrong every single time.

I've never even heard the rumor of that trade.

I thought the rumored trade was Battier-Scola for Amare...

Also you mean draft Amare over Yao? Well that is amazing there, did Morey even draft Yao? Are we going to blame Morey for taking Hakeem over Jordan too?

I can say with confidence that Yao should hang it up. He is way too soft to play in the NBA. Rockets should have sent him on his way 2 seasons ago. If he still wants to play, he should finish his career in China.

My greatest fear as a Rockets fan is the idea that we give it one more try next season. Every year for the last 3 years many of us have said that the Rockets should move on. Hopefully by now we can all agree that the Yao era is over.

I am not blaming Morey. You know full well that doesnt mean Yao still hasnt cost us nearly 4 to 5 seasons with his injuries alone. Waisted our teams years on him. Some of his seasons we could have used those times he got injured to win a few more games if we just straight up didnt have him taking up money on our books. Like this season we could have won a few more games if he wasnt here already and didnt have to work him in the lineup and then work the lineup without him. That there costed us at least 3 games if not more.

How am i a troll when you are arguing for Yao to be here to kill the team longer and I am here to argue to get rid of our problem taking up roster and cap space? Are not you and Jaygoogle the trolls who keep our team in mediocrity?

His fragile bones didn't help but not being adequately prepared for his next injury was the main issue...only if we had finished off the Chandler trade

If you are not blaming Morey for drafting Yao than who are you blaming? Carl was talking about Morey and you were blaming someone...blaming the same guy who didn't trade for Amare(Morey)...sounds like you were blaming Morey for drafting Yao over 9th overall picked Amare...

Also lol, No, for the 2nd time. I don't want Yao to be return here, that's not even what this thread is about.

But you need to go back and look at recent history. Yao is the last person should be blaming.

Its ok if you dont answer because I have told you the truth you dont like to hear about our team this whole year. Then when your boy Battier left and we went from cellar dwellar to one of the top winning teams in the league under the same ideas Morey shared with me by the way to trade some folks who dont fit with our young talent it ended up working out like Some people said it would. Just like it would be ok for Yao not to play a whole season somewhere else when he is gone too. He can build their hopes up too and thenb dash at his next destination when he gets his next annual injury. You will be happier guys like me are fans and Morey leans in that direction more often. In fact with Yao gone this team will be better in few years than it ever was gonna be with him here. Just like when Shane was surgically removed from the butt kissers who had zero basketball knowledge.

other than Yao opting out last year (yeah right), not sure what more he could have done to help this team. also not sure what morey was supposed to turn a crippled center into. yes he did great with TMac, but the man was at least able to get on the floor when we traded him.

nobody anywhere is saying, "yes re-sign him for the max and let's continue to build around him". so what is the point of this thread exactly ? you're angry at Yao's feet ? so is he.

Huh? I've never been a strong Shane supporter. I've always been on the play the young guys and see what happens team.

I've been saying it would be nice to trade Shane, and still would like to trade Scola or Martin if it meant getting a top 5 draft pick(to get Kanter...) or a great young prospect back.

So i'm not sure who you are going at now because for the 3rd time now I do not really want Yao back. But unlike you I appreciate all he's done for our team.

and if you think i am a troll? You need to find the type of troll on the internet who suggests winning moves for the franchise they latch onto. Then find the type of troll who makes comments that constantly tell the team to do things that keep in mediocre places forever. I think your gonna find more trolls who want the team to make bad moves and stay inept. More like some people who do the same thing who call me a troll. They need to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they have been a troll to this team. I know what my intentions are. I tell you what they are. They straight up do it and it ends up working and i praise them when they do it. When they havent? They havent moved Tmac and Yao fast enough or got enough value out of Battier? Thats not trolling. Thats fan want for his team. So some of you who want to stay mediocre? Need to find a troll on the internet and compair yourself to him and see if you share those same traits of keeping a team mediocre with your arguments.

Obviously, watch Yao write up another 5 year max contract himself and sign it, Yao wants to ruin seasons!

    Feed him to the lions!
