LMAO. Isiah will forever be the scapegoat of all the Knicks problems, even when he's not with the team anymore. How about the current GM get some blame too

You think Sloan and Melo can co-exist? Sloan coaches defense and believes in very disciplined offense. Melo does not believe in defense and is an isolation offensive player.

He could not get along with Derron Williams because of his prima-donna ways and Williams plays offense and defense I certainly don't see him getting along with Melo.

What makes you think Sloan would want anything to do with Amare or Melo? They are the exact opposite of the type of players he likes to coach.

Because the current GM did not want to give up as much as the Knicks did... the owner stepped in and forced the deal... the current GM also wanted to trade for a better player (Williams) but was told no by the owner.

seems like the players these days want the bright lights big city. I think they'll get another superstar easily

The trade hurt their future instead of helping it though. Carmelo has had his eye on the Knicks all-season. They would have kept their young upside players and had Carmelo, next year.

It seems that that give up their long-term future for a 2 month push into the playoffs, this season. It failed miserably, while the Nuggets have the Knicks draft picks and young upside players.

terrible comparison. melo has gone to the playoffs every year in his career, while starbury has led ONE team as the best player (his first year with phoenix).

its terrible that people are thinking of melo in that light if that is the case.

100% agree. This comparison epitomizes the term "overkill". The feeding frenzy is out of control, but can't say that I don't enjoy it.
