Crysis 2 out today. Homefront already at stores. I'm still enjoying Black Ops, but might be willing to try one or the other, but not both.

I've heard Homefront's single player game is garbage, but I prefer multi-player anyway.

I bought Homefront a couple of hours ago buying into the "dedicated servers" hype. They may be dedicated, but what's the point if you can't get in? I eventually did. The play is a lot different from COD, which I expected. Later a friend invited me to play and we never could get into a game. $60 bucks wasted.

I'm picking up Crysis 2 in the next few days. I've heard there are balance issues with the multiplayer though.

If you had ever played/heard of the first Crysis you would of definitley known the 2nd one would be far more of a better purchase than Homefront.

Games are ridiculously priced these days. Which is why I'll just download the games unless there are a specific few I want for online play.

I played the demo, thought it was nice, but wasn't blown away by it. Might possibly trade in Homefront for it if server issues aren't corrected soon.

I guess Crysis 2. I had some doubts about it, but early impressions/reviews sound somewhat positive (more positive than I was expecting).

I don't know how Homefront got any buzz. Nothing about it seemed all that interesting to me. To be fair, I didn't really check out all that much about it. But it looked like just another mediocre FPS (guess it did try for a decent story, but it seems too ridiculous to me). Of course, mediocre FPS games sell millions, so...

I guess Crysis 2 would be fine, but I'd just rather play some other game.

They are ridiculous, but only if you buy them on day 1. Instead of promoting piracy, just wait 6+ months and get the game at a much cheaper price. Plus you can get all the DLC, bug fixes, etc.

If you're a PC gamer, just wait for Steam sales (or equivalent from other services) and get AAA games for <$10. At least that way, you make the developers/publishers happy and can positively influence any decision making regarding their future work.

So does Crysis 2 has the best graphic ever seen on a home console system? I'm talkin about the 360 version which many critics and even Crytek themselves claim this game is the most technically advanced game put out on consoles. The promo vid looks very nice but I can't say it looks better then say Killzone 3, Gears or Uncharted 2. Those with the game care to chime in about the technical marvel of this game?

I picked it up, best graphics I've ever seen on a console.

I have Homefront on PS3....I like it, yes they are having server issues and freezing issues right now...but I find the gameplay really smooth...I usually go anywhere between 25-40 kills a round and stay in the top 3-4...I love they ranking system, and the BattlePoint system to earn things...

Its a breath air from BlackOps...which I think really has been rehacked...played last night...and was getting shot before I rounded corners...and I usually get dogs....4-5 times a night ...not using Hardline...

guess I have to wait for BF 3

I don't know if you're still reading this RAID, but what FOV are you running on your triple monitor setup? Since you're running a triple-wide resolution, I'm guessing your FOV is high. I'm running a single 24" monitor (1920x1200) and the default FOV is 55 (vertical). That was too restrictive so I switched it to 75 and then 90 FOV (which I liked the most).

However, I noticed that with a high FOV the camera will clip into the environment. More specifically, when you're up against the "cover points" where you can lean around cover, the left or right edge of the screen will clip into that piece of cover if you pan the camera to the side enough. It's distracting since you can see right through it. Do you have that problem with your triple monitor setup?

I was just running the default FOV that the game set it at. And with my setup, I haven't experienced the same clipping issue you describe. Or maybe I have and just didn't notice. I concentrate on the middle screen most of the time.

    But check out: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/

They post a lot of info about game specific FOV settings and multi-monitor topics.
