uninspired players tend to stay uninspired. When i hear upside i believe that he'll eventually reach his full potential but I don't think hill will ever reach his potential. Every time miller or hill is in the game i start getting nervous because they're liabilities
I'm rooting for both of them. I hope they both become something in the league and hopefully pat, hill, and thabeet become our big men of the future.
I chose not to vote. The sample size is too small for either player. You stick Patterson on another coach's team, and he might do better/worse than he is doing now. The same thing goes for Jordan Hill.
I might have said Hill at one time but PPat has just as much athletisism as Hill.... which I did not expect coming out of the draft.
i beleiev jordan hill has more potienal for small reasons he started playing in high school. not a lot of iq. very raw on offense. PPat is great but sady hes nothing more than a outstanding bench player and potienal 6th man of the award kind of guy my opionion
If you're only talking about upside or potential, then I would say Hill. As they always say, you can't teach height, which Hill has along with amazing athleticism. But then when you combine everything else (work ethic, BBIQ, determination, coachability, etc), I would take PPat any day of the week.
If Hill works hard enough, he will become an NBA starter, sooner or later. I will get a lot of satisfaction out of that, after reading all the abuse heaped on him on these boards. I am so glad that he has strung together some decent games, but he has always been a good rebounder. He might not look like it, but he has always had decent per-36 rebounds. Of course, his per-36 PFs would never have let him get 36 minutes in a game, but that's another story.
