You're saying that because he's a 'celebrity' he's not entitled to be treated with respect like a normal person? The circumstance is that the OP and his group were with Hill and Thabeet, got a picture with Hill (presumably by asking) and then sniper'ed one with Thabeet without asking. Thabeet appears to have been standing right there with them. He's a person, not a statue. If you're standing feet-distance away from him, have some common courtesy and ask for a photo. This is completely different than snapping a pic of celebrity from across the street.
Somehow, Thabeet following Hill around seems like the blind leading the blind to me. They need to ask team leader Chuck Hayes about where to chase tail.
Yeah, with all the f**king up Chuck has been doing he could teach those guys a little about the birds and... Tha Beets
Sure it's common courtesy, and I'm a pretty damn nice guy so I would ask. I'm just saying stuff like that is to be expected when your a well known local athlete. You think Yao gets photographed randomly often? I guarantee it. (nope I'm not comparing Yao's celebrity status to Hasheem's, but I'm just sayin... why would anyone be surprised that people photograph these people without asking?)
Just because he's moderately famous doesn't give some random club goers girlfriend the right to just start snapping pictures of him. Be more polite and respectful next time, and you'll probably get a different response. I don't even get it. They're just people. Granted, they're people that are on our television and/or movie screens, and they make more money than most of us combined, but none of that gives random people the right to start invading their privacy. Do celebrities forfeit their right to a private life most civilians enjoy in exchange for fame and fortune? Absolutely. Does that mean they owe every jerk with a camera or a pen a picture or autograph? Absolutely not. Celebrities don't owe you anything. You're the one that chooses to support them.
Sheesh, just sayin that it's to be expected guys. Not saying it's something people should do. That guy who snapped a shot of Michael Phelps ripping the bong should have asked permission too I suppose, eh?
fo realz. He should be reading and studying even a little Shakespeare wouldn't hurt.. 'Tha beet or not Tha beet that is the question'
When I come to Houston many strangers who recognize me seem to always take photos & video without even uttering a single word!
yeah, im thinking thabeet either said it loudly or was joking...i can't seem him becoming angry over something like that. He should be used to it by now.
Nah he wasn't joking, he was clearly pissed off and let her know. He was so mad that he turned as red as THA BEET I don't think he shoulda been that mad, he will not have girls taking pictures of him for very long. I'm not sure if he will get re signed to a contract in the NBA.
