Hayes is a man's man. And a great basketball player. Finally, it looks like most everybody finally gets it.

 

Chuck Hayes will crack Garnett's head with his biceps if he wanted to.

Hayes knows how to compete like a real man. Unlike fake tough guys like Bosh, Hayes will make a point on the court.

Whatever it was, Garnett was intimidated. He didn't even look at Chuck Hayes after the strip, just backed off.

There used to be a street named after Chuck Hayes, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Hayes and lives.

Chuck Hayes has become one of my all-time favorite Rockets. How can you not love this guy? He goes undrafted. He gets invited to camp. Nobody expects him to make the team. He makes it. Nobody expects him to work his way into the rotation. He does. And every year since people have continued to doubt him. Every year management brings in players at his position. Clearly the coach and management expect his role to diminish. But every year he beats out those guys and his role becomes more prominent. And we're no better. We've constantly hoped for an upgrade over Chuck - but every time we celebrate because they bring in a 7 footer to play his position, Chuck proves us wrong. And he constantly gets better.

A 6'5 center? Who cares. Dude is a warrior.
