Richard Pryor and George Carlin are tops on my list. As for other comedians still alive....Jeff Dunham was great but they saturated cable and youtube with his material. Completely burned out but he was really funny. I like George Lopez and Carlos Mencia but their material gets old too. I can laugh at ethnic jokes as much as the next guy but do you have any other types of jokes?
Here was my list: 10) Chris Rock 9) Bill Cosby 8) Lenny Bruce 7) Louis CK 6) Dave Chappelle 5) Eddie Murphy 4) George Carlin 3) Richard Pryor 2) Sam Kinison 1) Bill Hicks
That's funny. Mencia is world renowned for this. Upon cancellation of his show, George Lopez said that TV just got a whole lot more vanilla. Maybe if he was funny, his show wouldn't have been cancelled... jackass
Joe Rogan even went to a Mencia show and called him out on it. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5gVYfDCgYxk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Louis CK, Bill Burr, and Patton Oswalt are my top 3. George Carlin would be in there, but he's dead, and I'm not counting dead guys. Mitch H too
It was Louis CK but now it's Jim Gaffigan. I have listened to both guy's stuff in my car a lot, but Gaffigan just amazes me how much thought goes into everything he says, and it just keeps going.
Latinos: Louis CK, George Lopez, Freddy Soto African-Americans: Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Patrice Oneal, Sinbad Asians: Ken Jeong, Aziz Ansari Non-Hispanic Whites: Paul F. Tompkins, Andy Daly, Todd Barry, Andy Kindler, Todd Glass, Sklar Brothers,Jim Gaffigan, Nick Swardson, Zach Galifianakis, Steven Brody Stevens, Eugene Mirman, Jimmy Pardo, Nick Kroll, John Mulaney
First concert I went to when I could go on my own. George Carlin. Patton Oswalt today. I listened to Hicks, Kinison, Murphy, Pryor, and Carlin more than I did music for a few years.
Every time I see George Lopez making a joke about being Mexican (i.e. all of his jokes), I think of SwoLy-D.
