Was Pippen a blessing? I mean because of him, we got Francis, Anderson, Cato, Williams, Mobley's emergence, and Maloney's release. I think Pippen was a blessing in a really, really good disguise [IMG]. Oh yeah, we also got the 4.5 Mill.

RKMAN- Pippen wasn't a blessing. Francis, Anderson, Cato, and Williams are just the silver lining that looks really good compared to Quitten's cloud... [IMG]

Seriously, good topic- he could be seen as a blessing much like the failed Stoudamire trade can be.

Didn't we already have Francis and Anderson in the bag? Lets not give credit to Quitten!

As far as Stoudamire ... certain players florish, while other die in certain systems. Who knows, he could be kickin ass right now!

Space Ghost- I thought getting Francis and Anderson was an attempt to quiet Quitten's b****ing about the system?

Seriously, in the playoffs I didn't see Portland use Mighty Mouse enough. They didn't allow him to do anything but pass to quitten/rasheed/smith. And he didn't get too many minutes. I may be wrong but on almost any other team I think Stoudamire would flourish...given the chance...

On the Pippen thing I don't think he was a blessing, I like to think he was our gift, a curse, for Portland...haha Mister all-star #1 player in all the NBA...haha

All of you missed out something. Due to that trade now we don't have to pay his ridiculous salary. Thank you Quitten, though it wasn't the blessing, it certainly was a nice Chrismas present (Early Christmas)!!!
